How to make a Subway Sandwich

In this video I will demonstrate how to properly make a subway sandwich. Who needs subway university when you have a senior employee! (Just kidding)
please note this video was not published or approved by subway! This video was made for a high school junior demonstrative speech project so please don’t take it too seriously.

@@Bigazzham what helped me when I first started is instead of closing it how you would normally do, fold the bottom half to the top (fold the veggies towards the meat and cheese) I don’t know why but when doing it like that it makes it so much easier

If you are going to do it the Subway method, be sure to.. - Cut in a downward direction on the bun about a 1/4" - 1/2" from the end to ensure you have an uncut end of "just bread" when you're done. - When layering the meat, put it right in the middle of the top/bottom seam. You want to ensure the meat stay folded on one side, when the bun is closed. This will also help push veggies out of the open end. - Toppings: Go thick. The extra mayo keep the bun soggy and help lubricate the veggies to slide out (see above). If the customer asks for "easy on the mayo", just pile it on the middle third, allowing for that Heavy-to-No-Mayo eating transition.

hmm i saw in other tutorial and its very different, they say make sure to cut the bread not to the edges if the thin meat fly off you need to replace it with catfood you can use post letter paper as the cheese make sure to look up to the side at 45 angle when putting the sub on the microwave just bombardier it with lettuce make sure the customer watches you when you struggle to close the bread and cut it unevenly like maybe 25:75 ratio

I used to eat at Subway and although I’m not as bad as someone like Howard Hughes I am a little bit of a germanphobe and I noticed that when you would go to Subway they would use the gloves to make food with but when they put on the gloves they touch the outside of the gloves with their potentially dirty hands and then they put the gloves on and make your food but that means whatever crap they had on their hands is now on the outside of the gloves which is touching your food. And I guess your food is going to get touched whenever you get out but there’s something about watching it happen right before your eyes that just kind of grosses me out. And really the first time that I was at a subway and I thought about this I could tell that the woman had just come out of the bathroom because I had to wait for her to get up to the counter and I saw her drying her hands off. Obviously this meant she washed her hands but how do you know how well she washed her hands? And then I imagined her not washing her hands very good and then putting on the gloves and I thought oh man that’s gross and I pretty much couldn’t even eat the food. Now if they had a gloving machine that sort of opens the gloves up and you just slide your hands in then that would be sanitary but otherwise it’s really not sanitary. And furthermore another thing I noticed one time at a restaurant was that this woman had an apron on and she was making food back where we could see her and I noticed that her apron had a bunch of filth on it. Most of the time people don’t wash their apron every day like they might wash her uniform. So if there’s anything on that apron that’s been sitting there for a few days it’s generally going to have been growing bacteria and even though somebody’s hands maybe clean throughout the day they will be in advertently touching the apron and transferring that bacteria onto their hands. So even though they just wash their hands or their hands are clean they are going to be for long because they’re going to be accidentally touching the apron throughout the day. But what really kind of grossed me out was that she was making the sandwich and I could see that her apron was rubbing up against outside of the bun as she was cutting it and putting the condiments on it. And it was right where it looked most dirty. I know this is a little bit OCD but if you can’t get over these kind of things it’s really hard to watch other people make your food especially when you see things like this. And right now seeing how is it could mean the difference between life and death with the whole COVID-19 happening it’s just something to think about.

It should be relatively the same. However if you only have ham for example in a footlong, you get 8 pieces- ham in a bmt footlong? 4 pieces. It’s made up by the pepperoni and salami. The meats in the sub determine the sandwich price.

Too many mistakes here. This Sandwich was doomed from the start. 1. Bread has no diagonal cuts on top. 1a. Bread was not cut diagonally, this is done so Veggies stay inside. V shaped cut keeps everything inside. 2. Meat is placed too low and sandwich. 3. Cheese should be overlapped, aesthetically it looks more appealing, rather than having all the gaps. 3a. Sauces go at the end unless otherwise specified. 4. Veggies go on the bottom of the sandwich, goes back to the meat being to low, so there is no space on the bottom to position veggies correctly. 5. Veggie formula is 6 for footlong, 3 for six-inch. 4 tomatoes is cheating the customer, unless customer specified 4 tomatoes. 6. Too many olives, onions, again unless otherwise specified follow formula. 7. DO NOT CHARGE EXTRA FOR extra VEGGIES. It evens out at the end of the day. Customers are happy, they will come back. 8. Never use hands in the middle of the sandwhich, if done correctly sandwhich should close easily. Last resort use a Knife. 9. Throw away preperation wrap then, wrap up. Remember to up sell. :)
