$25 my ass. $600 welder, $200 sheet metal, and other materials needed looking at at least $1000. Cough cough unless you are a full time welder and got scraps kicking around. Love how they say $25 pellet burner to get you to watch their video. Miss leading information if you ask me.

Maybe not 1000 but definitely more than 25. I have a $30 welder that does the job. Would not include that in the cost, but with pipes and sheetmetal, paint, paintstripper i guessl it would be 200usd at least
@Creativeproject20203 ай бұрын
Thank you. What I mean here is that the cost to buy raw materials is only $25, without money to buy machinery. While working, I only use rudimentary mechanical tools, such as a hand-held angle grinder, a hand drill, and a mini welding machine.

Built something similar last year to heat my shop. The one change to this I might recommend, is the horizontal "heat tubes" orientation. I placed them at a 30° slope, with the low side to the rear. Thermal convection helps to carry the heat up and out towards the shop without the need for a fan. Just my 2 cents

I know there are umpteen videos on KZbin showing welding tutorials. Might be a good idea to link some of them. There's a lot of angle grinder cutting involved here, but I think the welding would be the only obstacle for creator makers wanting to replicate your amazing designs. I like your videos, instead of music, maybe a little explanation of some of the parts used. For example, the piece of material that was used for the top (bowl shaped piece that was used) what was that? Maybe I just missed it. Pretty cool though. I've been drawing some ideas for a fire box that will be a forced air burner.

@oscaroscar53363 ай бұрын
Yes! that is what I was talking about. I think you could use sticks for fuel like a rocket stove. Have you compared to any of the others stoves you made? amount of fuel used compared to heat output length of time above 20c or time to boil water? If you put about 25-50 mm of refractory cement or cut some soapstone to put under the heat exchanger tubes the added thermal mass would reduce high temperatures but hold the heat longer. If you search Cobb mass heaters you might add ideas for more efficiency, your area after the combustion chamber is still short so quite abit of heat is still going out the chimney. But I like it.

日本のヌカガマと原理は一緒でウッドガスシステムですね。 とても素晴らしいです。 こちらではペレットの代替として籾殻がタダで大量に入手できます。 これを使用できればコスパが格段に上がるのですが、、可能でしょうか? The principle is the same as that of Japanese "ヌカ釜"Nukagama, so it's a wood gas system, right? It's amazing I can get a large amount of rice husk for free here as an alternative to pellets If I could use this, the cost performance would go up significantly,, is it possible?
That's a lot of carefully thought out assembly. It would be funny if the pressure gage from the extinguisher was replaced with a dial thermometer

@Creativeproject20203 ай бұрын

don't do this if you value firesafety. there is no way for eventual overpressure to escape, blowing out the window and setting your house ablaze (a tiny hole in a small potlid isn't nearly enough for the pressures that this can create). and there not being an active separation between the burning pellets and the reservoir could cause the entire resevoir to catch fire especially since it's directly above the fire. besides the fact that the burning pellets are practically in an open room, wich creates the risk of carbon monoxide problems if the draft of the thing doesn't function properly. yes, building a pelletstove yourself can very well be done, but don't do it like this.
@Creativeproject2020Ай бұрын
Thank you. But the wood pellet chamber never catches fire, and burns upward
