I finally mastered box cushion corners from these excellent videos. I am now excited to to finish our built in diner cushions and will never be hesitant again. Also, learning to size the fabric smaller for a tighter fit made so much sense. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic instructions. The cushions turned out perfectly. I did use 2 inch foam, and that worked well - it was just a bit harder to close the last two openings after inserting the foam.

Hi, love this video tutorial. I’m planning on using its principles to make a covered cushion for my outdoor rectangular wooden bench. Please could you confirm at time stamp 4:44 where the seat cushion is placed and markings made how far up from the front edge is that placed? As I realise a little further on in the video an additional one inch allowance is needed to be added to the cushion seat size. Thank you.

I was asked to make one from 2" foam. Can this pattern be adapted to that thickness?

Well, usually when a foam of 2" or more is used for a cushion a facing or boxing is added to the top and bottom plates of fabric (what is called a box cushion). I don't think that this approach shown in this video will work for a foam more than 1 inch in thickness, sorry.
