I will not make candles out of this fragrance but I do love it so much and will try it in body butters and bubble scoops. The scent is called vanilla lace and pearls from nature’s garden

Thank you. Essential oils do work. You just need to make sure you are not using too much. A basic ratio is 1/2 ounce of essential oil to one pound wax. But this is just a starting point. you want to make sure you test burn everything you try.

Hello and thanks for your video on this topic. When you use CD wicks with Joy wax do you get small puffs of black smoke and mushroom wicks? I went by NG recommendations and even gone down in size but I still get the same result, This is using only Joy Wax and CD wicks, no fragrance or dyes are used during the testing. Thank you.

Whiskkers hi, yes, I do experience this as well. I make sure and trim my wick before every burn. It doesn’t completely fix it but it helps some.

I don't get a lot of soot along the rim of my glassware but I thought maybe it was something I was doing something wrong since my experience with Joy Wax is limited. Sajid Iqbal this kind of depends on a lot of variables. Try adjusting your pour temperature. Pour at a lower temp if you are using soy wax.

Great video! I am going through a major wick testing process with 9 ounce straight-sided and 8 ounce oval hex jars. I'm using GB 444 soy wax for one batch and Joy Wax for another, but there's a problem. I keep getting "wet spots" on my jars after the wax cools, no matter which type of wax I use. Cory, what would your recommend to avoid those wet spots on glass jars?

Tracy M hi there! I suggest really checking your pour temperature. When I pour in the 165-160 on the joy wax I don’t get wet spots. Sometimes it just happens even to bigger name companies :) I’ve learned to accept the perfect imperfections

Hi Hillary, I am not sure I understand your question. I think you are asking if it is the same fragrance but from a different company, do you need to test it. I definitely would. Also, if you use a different wax with the same fragrance, it should also be tested.

They don't all perform the same way, some fragrances are more viscous than others and may require you to wick up. And they may not all have the fragrance throw you are looking for.

I've been making candles for two months now and I use Natures Garden wax and CD wicks. I buy wide mouth mason jars and 12 oz salsa jars. My candles are burning way too hot and im using the suggested wick size. My wicks are also mushrooming terribly. My candles are so hot that the entire candle is liquid and the wicks fall to the side. I'm gonna wick down a size or two and see if that might help

Yes, I would definitely try sizing your wick down. Test a 1, 2, and 3 sizes down and test burn each one to see which works best.

Hi Cory. I love your videos! Could you please settle this for me.....when you say use 1 1/2 oz per 1 lb. of wax for a test burn, what exactly is the amount of fragrance oil do you mean?. I know this is a stupid question, but you wouldn't believe the different answers I have received from 1.92 to 2.4 from different candle making groups on facebook...HELP lol

Are you asking for what percentage that is? Take the 1.5 (ounces) divide it by 16 (ounces) and you get approx .09 or 9%

How did you get the labels to peel off individually? I have the clear gloss inkjet paper but it only prints out on a full sheet, doesn’t separate them. Please help 😱

I buy them this way at onlinelabels.com they have all kinds of choices. I just buy the size label I need for my jars.
