That looks so good. Yesterday I worked for a couple of hours planting up our bean bed. I was so tired when I came back into the house to be greeted by the smell of a rhubarb crumble baking. I didn't know my husband was going to make it, he tops it off with vanilla sugar and I swear the baking smell alone was almost enough to renergise me!

I love the way you and your daughter interact in this video. What a great working relationship. About the apple crisp, I know it's dessert, but, all that sugar in the crumble topping! It would be delicious with half that much. Your daughter is right, leave some of the skins on the apples. If the pieces are small, they disappear and add extra fiber. The majority of the nutrition is right under the skin of most fruits and vegetables.

I even checked the apple farms in Oak Glen...none. It was such a nice memory to use the Pippens....however, I have like you, started using Honey Crisp and Granny Smith which are in abundance and delicious. The Apple dessert looks AMAZING! So perfect for Autumn. Can't wait to try it! Yes, I would love the carmel recipe if you're allowed to share. Maybe you already know this but adjusted the process to show on camera in your dining room but the little silver lever with the black tip is a tightening mechanism for a suction cup on the bottom of your peeler. Just push the lever forward the opposite way until it touches the table and is tight .It obviously has to be used on a non-porous surface. So handy though☺ Also to get the cores out ,in the past, I just backed up the main handle with the core still on it and the "cutter /coarer" round piece makes it fall off automatically. Hope that makes sense😀
