I love target shooting with turkey or natural feathers and I love the look of natural wild turkey fletching. However, I don't HUNT with them because they are loud. I've had more deer jump the string with natural feathers than I have synthetic. The exception being crossbow bolts. I use them on bolts but trimmed to about a 1/2" to 3/4" since it's going twice as fast as a bow.

They are noisier than synthetic fletching. Deer can react very quickly, but quite often they come in so close that they don't have time to duck my arrows. A quiet bow makes a huge difference as well.

Enjoyed the clip but boy your pretty good with that recurve. I couldn't do that heavy. Better get one lighter but not sure you need much practice!

I'm still nursing my left shoulder, so I think it would be best to shoot less poundage in a recurve since there is no let-off like a compound bow.
