Wrap the pipe with good heat resistive sheet and foil paper for maintaining good cooling and safety of pipe .The pipe side which touch with the gearbox may lead to melt..So think Safety too. "Good brilliant Job"👍

You just changed my life! I have a cargo van I am converting, and the only *REAL* solution for rear AC is to purchase a 3.5k roof mountable unit. This will destroy my stealth factor and drain my battery...and the cooling factor will be "meh" in super hot areas. But this! This is amazing! Using the floor vent!....GENIUS! The floor vent!! Why didn't I think of that?! I can cool the cab immediately, but it takes a lot to get any air to the rear! Now I will be able to get ALL air in the rear! (Can you tell I'm excited?) Why insulate it's still inside the car... So there's no cooling loss really

@@rohan1748 what happens is the duct is an ordinary drain pipe which is very thin, has a lot of bends and is long. It easily causes heat transfer. Also, the gear shifter and handbrake lever gets pretty hot after running the car for a while. It can easily melt the plastic pipe. Insulation is just for precaution so that all the hard work is not wasted..👍

Awesome idea. No one uses the vents for leg anyways .. Now all you require is to cover up the hole with a small grille ... maybe from some old hair dryer something. Also The tube must be well insulated for two things . a. the heat from the gearbox will reduce the cooling, and .b. to save your tube

AC vents is the big misconception today in small car category because cold air is heavier i.e. in a running car it simply cools the car back first. Figo/aspire ac is the best example over dzire/excent/grand i10 etc. because AC itself so powerful it beats all its vent equipped rivals.

No drilling or unscrewing need. I live in the Desert of Yuma Arizona, what some of us do is just take a plastic flex tube like the one in this video, however instead of taken apart the middle console we just run it down the passanger side middle console and under the seat. To hold the end and point it to where you want the air to go, We just took a coat-hanger, bent it round the tube, and bent it around under the seat, to hold it. No taken part nothing. No drilling. I still have it on my 2009 kia spectra car 14 years later and still works..

Good Job, though the only problem will be that due to less air flows on both side of the car there will no be effective cooling in the front as well as rear. But in the longer rides on highways it will be quite useful. Nice innovation and trick. 100% score from my side :-)
