The wraps worked out, but the mess was diabolical to clean up. If I ever do it again, I won't use any bowls or implements I value as getting the resinny wax off is a nightmare. I wish I'd covered every inch of the kitchen in newspaper first!

My friend gave me some honey and beewax so I'm going to do just that! I've used the honey wash to make a quick mead, hope it'll turn out tasty!

I've seen these made with bees wax alone. What does the pine resin do? Great idea.

pine resin is used to make it stick well but in my opinion, w/o pine resin is fine just use beeswax is enough if ure making it for urself

You can wash it with a cloth, they usually only need a wipe down. I wouldn’t put it in a washing machine.

I cant melt my resin,why?

I am doing mine now , and also my resin won't disolve, just one big gloopy lump

Ok I worked it out, melt the wax with the jojoba oil first, once melted, very slowly add the resin, spoon by spoon, stirring constantly . There will be some that just sits at the bittom of the mix i think that is unavoidable .

I tried them, didn't like it they changed the flavour of everything I wrapped in them & I don't like it how you can't wash them properly. If you do the wax comes off. Novel idea though but not worth the effort
