Within a minute I was laughing. Love the video. I love mixing craftmade and 3d printed objects in my game. Devon Jones is a BOSS. As are you good sir. And when scaled to 1.25 his terrain prints line up nicely with the tiles i made of yours

I love the way technology is going, making it easier to craft your own... Well, Anything ... but I still think it has a more personal touch when it's made with your own two hands :D - Great Video

Realy nice to see crafted and 3d printed terrain in the same video combining the 2 methods together open up so many options for builds. I enjoy doing both printing and crafting and think it will become more common in the future.

I had the same idea when I saw these go up. Made virtually the same thing. Just more of the BMC kinda style using all foam instead. Super great video man.

I really loved seeing this. Thank you both for your contributions to this community. I wouldn't have started DM Dojo if it weren't for both of your talents and your generous sharing of them :) Devon, after seeing how good you are in front of the camera, I now expect full print-n-paint videos of your entire catalogue. :)

Main problem oddly is that I have three 3d printers, all close to my craft space, and finding a time when I can have all of them not printing while keeping up my release schedule is non trivial. If I'm going to do more videos, I need to find a different place to film them, but irritatingly, this is where all my paint is. I do have a microphone that can cancel the noise, so maybe if I film and then voice over like I did for my project in this video I can make it work.
@KevinRank
@KevinRank 6 жыл бұрын
I was just thinking, get a noise canceling mic, and live with a little background noise. It'd make it more authentic. :D
@3DPrintedTabletop

Devon Jones I agree with Kevin. Also, lots of programs are great at filtering background noise when it's consistent (like printers.) With ya either way my friend!

This is awesome. Been part of Devon's Patron for quite a while. I love 3D printing for terrain (since scratch build requires a level of patience and artistry I lack). I really do like these new head-to-head build videos, as well.

Excellent! Really cool!Could use a "collapsed" portion for that typical oh-no-the-bridge-is-destroyed-but-we-need-to-cross scenario. Also would be cool if you could elevate the bridge more. Perhaps a pillar where the arches meet?your crafts always look like their laser cut, my tiles dont even remotely look as good.

I like your bridge more then the 3d printer. The reason why is yours has more variables from one to the next. The 3d’s are to standard. Same look bridge after bridge. Keep the ideas flowing.

Wyloch's Crafting Vids I'm agree that it pop up well on your work. But if I look at old stone bridges next to me, I won't find brown stone anywhere. (So for now... I still haven't choose how to break the monotony on my tiles)

Don't limit yourself to realism. Painting things to look realistic is certainly a valid stylistic choice, but at three feet away on the game table, it will look very bland. A lesson I learned about a year ago was to choose bold colors. I've never turned back. After all, none of our adventures take place on Earth.
