This was a great video. I'm curious as to the legality of selling frames. I see tons of frames for alphabets in different font styles. Did people just use a font someone else created and turn them into frames to sell. Or did they have to design the actual font and then make it a frame? And with clipart from places like Canva and Creative Fabrica, does going through the process of making the svg into a frame now mean it is materially changed to the point where the person who changed it has the right to sell it?

I have used free canva elements-graphics and turned them into frames. but I am not sure if I am allowed to sell them like this on Etsy. Even if they are free graphics still breaks canvas policy? I love the way you share knowledge, super easy to follow with out all the extra stuff! Question about this process, I seem to only be able to make a frame using canva elements. I have tried to import kittle pngs and svgs and the photopea process does not work:(. Is there an extra step or can it not be done outside canva?

Weird workaround but try bringing your kittl file into canva and re-saving it! I was able to use photos and things brought from other places but I brought them to canva first and re-saved

Rebring your file into canva as a PNG, then use "shadows" "outline"

Doesnt allow you to delete the photo after importing back to canva, even if you detach. Several others in the comments agree. This process may have worked at one point, but no longer works. PSD imports as a flat image and not layers.

You might be able to on places like creative fabrica and im sure theres others out there that I cant think of right now, but I'd just read their terms and make sure you can attach and sell the right file type

You need to save the file and upload it on canva as a PSD, which is the editable version.

This was great thank you but no matter what I tried it would not work for text. Can you please do a tutorial on how to make it work for text. I created a word and downloaded it as a SVG file and it would not recognize it in photopea it seems to recognise it as a font and not an image even though it is a png file. What sort of file do you save text as to get to to work in PhotoShop or Photopea please? I tried downloading the text as an image and then removing the background and turning it into a SVG like the other images [that work perfectly]. But did not matter how I uploaded the text file it would not work. And when it did work, when you went to delete it, it did not recognise the clipping mask and deleted the whole thing. There was no option to delete the background. So the font must have to be turned into a specific file type before uploading to Canva and turning into a SVG file. Any tips please?

I tried doing texts and it worked out for me. I download it as an SVG, and then Merge the layers, so it becomes one image layer. Open and place the image, so clipping mask and then save as PSD.

Do a right click on the image and hit "detach image". This worked for me too :)
