@@diamonddave1733 But it still looks Very tasty. How's the real PCS made? I was watching a Philadelphia Eagles Home Football game a while back and they cut away to someone making a Philly Steak sandwich... presumably, at the stadium, or a nearby shop. It showed a giant, narrow spatula loaded with what looked a lot like melted American Cheese being slapped onto what looked like a split open loaf of Italian Bread. I've never been to Philly, but the sandwich sure looked good.

I'm born and raised in philly, and even though Cheesesteaks in philly dont have garlic butter, I would really love to try one that way. I love garlic. Lol. I know a lot of people from philly probably talk trash when they see people outside of philly adding a bunch of stuff to a cheesesteak that philly dont really put on thier steaks. But food is food, it's all about your own personal taste, and how YOU like your steak. If you like garlic butter on steak, than go for it. If you want to add anything else to your steak, than more power to you. It's your steak, your making it, it's your decision, dont let anyone tell you different. And this is coming from someone that lived in philly thier entire life. I'm 31 years old, and I never lived anywhere else but Philly. I grew up eating cheesesteaks, and I still eat Cheesesteaks once in a blue.

They don't have mayonnaise on them either!.....just saying
@IlDeimos4 жыл бұрын
@@paulvonzech5141 In philly thier not called "Philly Cheesesteaks" either though. Lol. It's just a cheesesteak. Besides, I had many really bad Cheesesteaks in philly. But its mostly from places where the owners barely spoke English, or the owners were not from philly, and just tried opening a cheesesteak place without any knowledge on how to make them. There are a lot of places like that in philly. However, when you order a cheesesteak in philly, you can literally order it any way you want it, with anything you want on it. You can order it with mustard, sweet peppers and pizza sauce on your Cheesesteak it you want. Lol. That's not authentic, but they will still make it in philly. Do you know why? Because they are not the ones that are paying for it and eating it. It's not about what they like. It's about what the customer likes, and how they want thier Cheesesteak, since they are the ones paying for it and eating it. If Philly only sold 1 or 2 types of Cheesesteaks with no variation, without the possibility of adding things to it, Cheesesteak places wouldnt be as successful as they currently are.
@GreekPackDragon4 жыл бұрын
@@IlDeimos I agree. Eat what you like, but we do need to be specific about what is traditional or classic verse just another cheesesteak. I prefer provolone on a cheesesteak hoagie, but you gotta know the difference. Looking forward to trying this, as my daughter would like a recipe that is “lighter fare.” That said, I make Philly cheesesteak using good quality shaved steak (excess moisture squeezed out chopped up a bit before cooking), combined with caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms, green and red peppers (in olive oil). I use a little butter to sauté the steak, cooking it just as you did. I add Worcestershire, chipotle seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper to the meat mixture before combining with veggies. Last step is folding in American (and maybe some cheddar, we prefer American) cheese, to your liking. Then serve on hoagie rolls as you did - minus the butter and mayo. This yields a creamy and delicious cheesesteak mixture but it is very rich and heavy! :-) Looking forward to trying yours and I like the way you make the buns into garlic toast!

South Philly, Geno's and Pat's would not put mayo on bun either. Is it bad to say that i cringed when I saw this? This looks delicious, but a real cheesesteak is not called a "Philly Cheesesteak"....just sayin'.

People always change the recipes of the original but I don't use garlic I make like it Supposed to be made and travel to philly often and n ku t far either I'm in Baltimore City Maryland

@@monicabennett6605 Pat's and Geno's suck and are overly expensive. They are not the standard by which cheeseteaks should be compared.

Love it it! Simple and tasteful. I like a teaspoon of aju sauce on each side of the bread before loading that baby up. (Just my humble opinion) adds a little moisture kick to it.

I like how she didn't chop the steak into little bits like they do at many Philly cheesesteak places. She left if it chunks.

She's actually asexual and lives alone at the top of a mountain in Tibet that's where she learned to cook from the Tibetan Monks who taught her to cook with one hand, standing on a bed of nails She dances with rattle snakes in her basement to prepare her mind for every dinner Some say she's alien but i don't think so, maybe but even if she is i think she's a great human impostor chef girl KZbin bye

This is literally a 15.00 meal (and cheaper if you buy cheap cut of beef) that will feed more than four people. You don't need the fancy grill...cast iron skillet on the stove and toast the bread in an oven. Its doable trust me. Feeding 5 kids here.
