How to Make Club Sandwiches - Club Sandwich Recipe

Learn how to make a double decker club sandwich the croutoncrackerjacks way! One sandwich that can and is a meal all by itself. Loaded up with ham, turkey, bacon and all the trimmings! One of my favoritest sammiches ever!
What you'll need:
-toast
-mayo
-bacon
-sliced ham
-sliced turkey
-cheddar cheese
-lettuce
-tomato
For each sandwich, toast 3 pieces of bread and cook 3 pieces of bacon. Slice the tomato thin and wash the lettuce and set aside. To assemble, put mayo on one slice of toast. Layer ham, turkey and cheese. Spread mayo on another slice of toast and place mayo side down. Spread more mayo on top and layer bacon, lettuce and tomato and top with the third slice of toast with mayo on it. Insert toothpicks to keep sandwich together and cut into quarters. Serve with fries. Enjoy!

When I was a child in the 50s, a treat was when we would go to Woolworths and eat at their lunch counter. I would get a club sandwichm and order of fries and a Coke. To this day, the club is still one of my favorite sandwiches!

I've never seen how easy this sandwich is to make. I already have all the ingredients except for bacon but I'm going to proceed anyway. It just looked so delicious. Every time I diet or fast (4 or 5 times a year) I watch your videos for vicarious thrills and to strengthen my resolve (3 more days & then it's club sandwich time!). After I all these years I feel compelled to write and express my admiration. Your videos are well-conceived, well-narrated, beautifully shot and most importantly of all, thorough yet succinct. I first became aware of your channel via your chicken tikka masala recipe video, which is wonderful, but what really impressed me was your fried rice. You make it just like my dad did except he started with chopped onions before the egg, he also liked a bit of sesame oil with soy sauce, but so what? Over the years the number of cooking channels has grown exponentially and more than half of them are shitty to be honest. When I want to learn how to cook something I don't need 11 or 12 minutes of unrelated babble (what eye shadow to wear, what my kid/cat/colon did today, why the government sucks, etc.) Even worse are pretentious words in the title such as "Ultimate" or "Insane" or "Best Ever", which are a clear warning to ignore the video. I love your videos & I love how you do them! I just wish you were still doing them.... but thank-you all the same!

Instead of the mayo, may I suggest a sauce that you can stir up in minutes: 1/4 cup mayo, 2 tablespoons sour cream and 2 teaspoons of yellow mustard. It really kicks up the sandwich a notch, trust me.

I've been making club sandwiches for lunch lately, for my no pork version I do turkey bacon in the oven (less mess, less fuss baked) while that's cooking for 15mins at 400 I prepare the rest. I got a ready made rotisserie chicken so I have fresh chicken meat for 4-6 sandwiches in the fridge ready to go. Good alternative for those who don't like lunch meat!

Nope. Mayo on a sandwich is against international law and you will be arrested immediately and sent to a remote part of the dessert only to be left to sit in scorching heat to think about what kind of abomination an emulsified mixture of oil and water is and how disgusting it is to even think about putting that on a sandwich. It's best to leave it off and get cottonmouth from the dry toast rather than risk being arrested...

That's exactly what a club sandwich should look like. Classic. No trendy substitutions, cut into quarters, served with fries and maybe a bit of coleslaw. Extra-mayo is my preference, too. Few sandwiches are as satisfying as clubs.

Sabah Alam You need something to glue all the layers together. You can go without mayo but your sandwich is going to fall apart the second you pick it up. And you'll end up with cottonmouth while eating it. But my fat self is glad I held out and went easy on the mayo to avoid such comments. :-/
