So I made this dessert this evening, using your exact ingredients...the agar agar did not firm the jello. WHAT HAPPENDED? I'm confused
@AsianGalPegFoodTravel8 жыл бұрын
Hi Meng. I am sorry to hear your jello did not firm. It has to be refrigerated for at least four hours in order for the jello to firm. How long did you leave it in the refrigerator? It should have turned out just like in the video using all the exact ingredients and measurements as mentioned in the video.

How long can this stay in the fridge before it gets bad?

I made it twice back to back and both keeps coming out the same. It will not separate. It tastes good but the coconut won't separate. What am I doing wrong.

I cook my liquid and coconut milk separately. I cook the liquid portion on high heat after mixing all ingredients while I keep the coconut milk portion on medium to low heat (not boiling it). After everything is cooked, I pour the liquid portion onto a pan or bowl. Then I pour the coconut milk portion directly after. I let it sit on the counter to settle in room temperature so it's not hot to the touch then I place it in the fridge for 4-5 hours or overnight. The oil will separate from the water so you'll have coconut cream rise to the top leaving the bottom clear of it. Hope this helps. 🌼🌿 Watching this in 2023. 😁 PS: I didn't use eggs or pandam flavoring in mine so I'm definitely gonna try this recipe out. Also, I used pure coconut water in mine instead of water. Of course, it's optional.

I don’t know if you’ll respond but do you know how many tablespoons of agar agar powder you use?

Why do you add eggs? is there a difference with or without its?
@AsianGalPegFoodTravel8 жыл бұрын
Hi nt20201. I use eggs because in my opinion, it gives it a little more thickness and adds a little more favor aside from just the coconut milk. The eggs are optional. If you do not like eggs you do not have to add it. It is also good with just the coconut milk, sugar and salt. Thanks for watching. :-)

Does the agar agar powder need to be mixed until fully dissolved before adding the coconut milk with eggs? Or just mix it like you said? Instructions unclear.
