Hello Foodies !
I am sharing with you all a classic Caribbean treat that is souse. It is VERY easy to make so that is always a bonus. Let me know what’s your favorite souse below !
Ingredients:
2 lbs cow heel
5 cups water
Juice of one lime
4 tsp salt
4 cup minced seasoning peppers
1/2 scotch bonnet pepper
1/8 cup green seasoning
2 Chadon Beni (culantro) leaves minced
1/2 1 medium cucumbers sliced
Tip.
make sure to pressure cook your meat for about 30 mins
-You have to let the meat sit in the juice for some time to allow it to react with the meat and give it that soft souse texture.
