We have a slightly different making process in Tunisia, some of the added steps are ideal for extending the shelf life, some people even mix in a set dose of mountain honey (while the syrup is cooling down) to capture the antibiotic properties of honey, thus the date syrup wouldn't spoil for a long long time. Can you please make a video on sugar from date syrup? And tell us if it truly can substitute cane sugar. Finally congrats on reaching the Afcon final, I think Nigeria will win this year!

Great video. Thanks for doing it.... just a note. When you poured the date syrup into a jar, a title appeared on the screen as "date paste." I think it's a mistake? The instructions to make date paste come after the instructions to make date syrup. Loved the music in the background, and the whole video. Good job!
