I have my print copy....and notes...lots of notes. This will be perfect for a princess. Someone is celebrating her birthday in July, so auntie is plotting ahead. Plus my sister would love it as easy makeup for school. She's a science teacher. 👩🏻🏫

I really love all the Selfie Brushes too! I have them all and love the powder one for both powder foundation and my liquid and the Foundation for my liquid foundation. These are beautiful! I have some highlight drops I make in a base of Caprylic Triglyceride (NOT fractionated coconut oil, like not the same) and broccoli seed oil with some passionfruit. Love them so much! My favorite mica was the Echo mica from TKB but very sadly it has been discontinued so I am playing with a combination of others to make something similar!

Marie, I'd love to try these. I have your book and love it. My question is the measuring spoons. All I can find in small spoons are the dash, smidgen type spoons but they don't give the measurements on them. at least not that I can see. Where did you get yours? opps just found it in your FAQs. you really do cover all the bases. :)

Thank you very much for doing this video :-) will this actually adhere to the skin for hours? I have attempted to make a highlighter several times and failed. the main issue I have is it being smeared off very easily. I also tried adding kaolin clay with glycerin. that made it adhere to skin well. But the clay made the consistency of it clumpy and the batch eventually dried up into a solid lol. Not sure if the measurements were just off or what. don't have silica on hand to experiment with. So I wanted to know how well this adheres to skin b4 I waste more money.

Hey Marie, I just bought your book! I'd love your opinion on something, I've been working on a version of this that I'm trying to make extremely metallic- like BEAMING- but- it is creating a lot of texture on the skin, any ideas about what I could add to make it a bit more smooth yet illuminating? I have serecite mica and silk mica in it, would the silica microspheres you used above help? Also what type of preservative would you recommend? any ideas would be SO APPRECIATED! Thank you x
@HumblebeeAndMe6 жыл бұрын
Here's some links on preservatives: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/need-add-preservative-recipe-long-will-last/, www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/what-preservative-should-i-use-how-much-of-it-should-i-add/ I really can't say regarding the highlighter you're making without knowing WAY more about what you're doing. It's sort of like if I'd said I'd made a dish with salt and peanut butter, and would adding a tomato help, haha.

Hi! Would cyclomethicone work in place of fractionated coconut oil? Just curious. Thanks!
@HumblebeeAndMe6 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't recommend it; it is definitely possible to create something like this using cyclomethicone, but this recipe is designed to work with a lightweight oil. Replacing the lightweight oil with something as volatile as cyclomethicone would likely create a final product that is drying to the skin between the evaporation of the cyclomethicone and the drying effect of the silica.

Awesome......I would love that because I really want to take care of my skin as well as learn how to make my own makeup because for one you end up knowing what suits your own skin even before you make mistakes by getting makeup from the store that can sometimes cause break outs and to tell you the truth I am allergic to face scrubs like the ones from Lakmé fruit scrubs.....and I had got it because one of my best friends told me that it was a good product and the next day after I tested it on my face I actually broke out and when I went to college that day, my friend asked me what happened because I had sever blisters and redness on my skin and I told her that my face reacted to the face scrub she told me to try.......and she said that she never had anything happen to her when she used this same product.....and it took a month to heal and also I stopped using it so yes it was something I am really careful of now and it took a long time for my scars from these blisters to fade.....
@HumblebeeAndMe6 жыл бұрын
Oh no! I guess you are one of those people who really must patch test everything 😐 At least if you can find out exactly what it is that you're sensitive to it's very easy to avoid those things when you DIY 😊
@rebeccafionacornel65586 жыл бұрын
Yup! But I had been using Clean and Clear and Neutrogena foaming face washes and they seemed to be fine with my skin but my friend felt that it was not only expensive but also she said that that was causing breakouts in her case and that's why she changed to Lakmé fruit face scrubs....I never tried face scrubs before and I was searching for the same brand of the face washes (because well they normally go and react well with the same brands face washes) but I couldn't find one and Lakmé is very famous in India (apart from Loreal but it is a high end product so it's hard to buy them by the common man in India) and the scrubs were kept separate from the brand's face washes and I had no idea about it and I thought "well all face scrubs are the same thing right? whether they are from one brand or the other? so I can try A face wash from Clean and Clear or Neutrogena and the face scrubs from Lakmé and face mask from EverYouth". I had tried EverYouth face masks and it didn't react with my skin so that's why I thought it would work.....and I was SOOOOO wrong when it came to face scrub......so I guess I really have to do a real DIY for myself so that I know what things can cause breakouts on my skin. And according to that test out stuff in the market as well....:-)....

Hello there! Loving your channel. Quick question how long do these Moon drops last in the jar before the get damaged? Because I’d love to make some but usually my makeup last me long before I ran out.
@HumblebeeAndMe6 жыл бұрын
I'm not entirely sure what you're asking? We're not typically worried about damage for makeup like this-the life of the jar will depend on the jar and how well you treat it. If you're asking about the shelf life of the product, I have an FAQ on that here: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/long-will-______-last-shelf-life/.
@Dgarays6 жыл бұрын
Humblebee & Me thanks a lot! Yes I guess that is what was asking I just didn’t know it was called shelf life LoL knowing that I can do the best amount with no waste. Though I guess I’m more safe just doing really a tiny batch. Thank you for the info 🙏🏻
