Once I went to a Subway restaurant. The guy made my sandwich so perfectly and with such care that not one single thing spilled out when I ate it. This reminded of that moment :’)

I am a paid sushi chef (still in training). Your roll is good and technique is good. The only thing I might add is when applying the plastic rap to the roll before cutting, use a bamboo roller without plastic wrap to firm the plastic around the roll. This way the plastic doesn't come off the roll before cutting.

+Namiko Chen (Just One Cookbook) it's true! although I thought it also looked like a deck of cards and you would start dealing avocado slices haha. I can't wait to try this out!

+Namiko Chen (Just One Cookbook) Hello! I appreciate your reply. I attempted to cut an avocado yesterday like you did in this video and I gotta say, it is a lot easier for laying them down neatly in a sandwich! It's an extra step but it feels like art and the slices don't slide out so easily haha I will also be using some of the techniques from your most recent upload.
@silsilialienardi49948 жыл бұрын
+Namiko Chen (Just One Cookbook) and now there's an avocado rose trend, I bet you can do it 😁

+Namiko Chen (Just One Cookbook) hello! yup I think avocados might be the best looking addition because of how smooth it is and plus it has a beautiful green color! I think I should get a photo album and just have pictures of avocados in it hahaha. they really are so beautiful to look at! I look forward to your next video!

might i suggest modifying your bamboo sushi mat? put a piece of EVA foam inside the ziplock back next to the bamboo sticks and close the bag, use the mat with the eva foam facing toward the sushi, this will hide any markings made by the sticks and the sushi roll will look better, might wanna try it

The original type of sushi was first developed in Southeast Asia and spread to south China before being introduced to Japan sometime around the 8th century. Though the Japanese take on sushi is by far the most popular one these days. I know you didn't ask but I thought it'd be a little cool thing to know.
