You girls you rock! Little advice, try melting the coconut oil first, then add the charcoal when it is still liquid, that will help it incorporate it more and will also avoid the tiny clumps in texture. If you so, only add the aloe vera gel when the first mixture cools down.

That is pretty cool to make your own eyeliner. I use a bit of coconut oil in my bobbi brown or mac gel eyeliner after it's been dried out and honestly coconut oil brings it back to life. No more microwaving those gel eyeliners which in turns dries them out again. YAY for DIY's!

I made a version of this a while ago and it's awesome because you can make it as dark as you want. Unfortunately I think the activated charcoal irritates my eyes. But it's really pretty

You put about an extra teaspoon in both scoops of the coconut oil, so the mix wasn't as concentrated, hence the lack of pigment

cool. but how long does it last throughout the day? Does it fade? I have a problem with eyeliners smudging and transferring to my bottom lid, hence racoon eyes!

To make it darker add a burnt almond nut to that mixture. Burn the nut until its completely black and then crush it to a powder

should use iron oxide powder its blacker than the charcoal , also instead of coconut oil that clogs pores why not castor oil which doesn’t clog pores plus it promotes eyelash growth

Yes charcoal stuff is normally used to exfoliate and cleans your body and I used it to clean my face to get rid of the nasty stuff my pores like to hold on to like sweat ect but when using cleansing charcoal on ANY sensitive part of your body only use it 1-2 a week NOT every day because it may irritate or redden that spot u can make it into soap too it also really helps This diy is awesome but if you did already do it test it on your hand or arm to make sure u do not have a irritation because u need your eyes lol

Putting black eye-shadow would of been better and more pigmented. Depending on the brand, price, and pigmentation of the eye-shadow, it would of came out black instead of grey :D
