I love garlic! Thank you for sharing! When I was little I had a lot of issues with ear infections, so what my mother did was to finely chop up a little bit of ordinary yellow onion. She then wrapped that in some gauze, put it (secured in place with some medical tape) in my infected and hurting ear over night, and in the morning it was all cleared up! The pain and infection was completely gone! I mean...half your head and your pillow smells like onion the next morning, but it's totally worth it! xD

Whatever you do - stay away from the peeled stuff from China. I buy the pre-peeled cloves from the US and/or your state. I’ve been making this for years and always add chopped ginger for another benefit and the extra flavor. Also add a few Allspice berries MOST important is using garlic that is as close to home as possible, but DEF unpasteurized, raw and unfiltered!

Also, if you or anyone's interested, try these : Insect spray - used directly or on surfaces - spray bottle with equal parts water and white vinegar, add a good amount of peppermint essential oil (about 10 drops). If you want all the Full Medicinal Properties I highly recommend that you dice all of the whole cloves and let sit for 15 minutes before adding Raw Honey. Fill the jar almost halfway with chopped garlic and the rest with honey” I also add organic cayenne pepper powder for additional benefits and let ferment for a month while making sure to Burp the mason jar a couple times a day. Throwing whole cloves in will do nothing for you!!

@@zetsumei1017 . I ended up making two jars. One I left out and one I put in the fridge. Both are doing fine. Once I open it I’ll refrigerate it cuz I like it cold. I have garlic fermented in brine and apple cider vinegar too. I like garlic! There’s a Mediterranean method that leaves the skin on and it ferments for a year.

@@zetsumei1017 . It is just one thing I do for health. I’m in my 70s and I don’t take any medications (except for thyroid because it was removed when I was 19). I don’t take over-the-counter meds. I don’t eat processed foods very often. On the extremely rare occasion that I get sick, I have holistic remedies. I don’t go to AMA docs……I see a naturalistic holistic doc for thyroid prescription once a year. I would go there if I got sick. The bottom line. I love (and grow) garlic. Garlic and honey is yummy on my homemade sourdough toast with natural peanut butter! I eat it this way a couple times a month.

Hi Merissa, please help! I made some of this with pickle pebbles (mason jar weights) and the self burping lid/flats, and when I just opened one up it had some mold growing on the underside of the silicone lid from where it got very bubbly from the fermentation and the level of foam reached the top of the jar and then lowered. I have cleaned the rim of the jar very well and replaced with normal mason jar flats, but I'm wondering if this sort of thing is normal? I really wouldn't think fungus could grow on anything honey/garlic, but it sure did, and I was surprised to say the least. Thanks in advance for insights you might be able to offer.

I slice my garlic as in shaving. It takes me 2 hours total to fill 16 oz jar. Wait one month and it's ready. I use raw honey organic.

How does the garlic remain below the honey? I chopped the garlic and the garlic is floating on top of the honey.

I ate this like candy. About 15 spoonfuls of garlic and honey. Does this fermentation process cause someone to feel drunk? I feel kinda dizzy 😵‍💫 LOL

I think you ate too much all in one go! Garlic can thin the blood and also lower blood pressure. Eating just 1 - 2 cloves of garlic per day is advised. Be careful, take care.

Hi I bought the members mark honey it says it’s low heat pasteurized and cooled I mixed my garlic in a jar with this supposedly pasteurized Sam’s Club honey and within a couple hours maybe three or four it’s already starting to bubble up and ferment. Do I need to throw this out please people I heard all the botulism stuff I really just don’t want to throw this out if I have to I have to if I don’t I don’t some people say you can put a tablespoon of vinegar in there to lower the pH or raise the pH, I would appreciate anybody’s help
@rejoicechristian4490

you have to add the vinegar at the beginning when you are first making the ferment.

Hi Marisa, my garlic is sort of floating to the top so I keep adding honey. I pushed it down a few times with a chopstick but it doesn't do much. Is it okay?
@BumblebeeApothecary
@BumblebeeApothecary 3 жыл бұрын
That's normal in the beginning. You can try flipping the jar upside down and that seems to help :)
