How to make Fig Jam | Homemade Fig Jam Recipe

How many days it will last and do we have to refrigerate it

It lasts for up to a year if well sealed and if the jars are properly sterilized. You can keep it in a dark, preferably cool place, no need to refrigerate.

I'm not very sure about the exact variety, this tree was planted before I was born. A quick research tells me that they are called Celeste figs. They are early-ripening and the tree is huge.

The reason that I ask was that these figs reminded me of a big beautiful fig tree in my grandmother house when I was a child with large delicious fig exactly like the ones in your video. I was always so excited to visit my grandma to eat those figs! I have tried hard to find a similar fig tree to duplicate my childhood memories but haven't had any luck so far.
