I made the recipe exactly according to the instructions and got ... spicy jelly. Not similar in texture to cheese. Luckily Agar Agar is reversible and can be re-heated. I put the "Jelly" in the pot. In the blender I ground a cup of almond flour with 4 tablespoons of coconut oil, 2 tsp. of tapioca flour and a 1/4 tsp. of white miso and added the batter to the pot. I cooked till it was almost boiling and re cooled it. Now I have cheese!

Hello again!!! I cannot express how excited I am about trying your recipes. My only question is the amount of sugar that some require. I will be 65 in a few months. Have never had a sweet tooth. I also worry at my age now about diabetes type 2. I don't refer to myself as "vegan" but for all intensive purposes have been on a plant based diet for health reasons. It is a total myth that high cholesterol and blocked arteries are due to obesity. For the most part it is genetic. My family's health history is proof. I weigh within 2lbs my entire life as I did at 16. I never watch calories and do include Alaskan wild salmon in my diet for health reasons. For whatever reason I do not metabolize important omegas through supplements. It is a very fine balance. Also prior to adding salmon my cholesterol has been elevated. I have always been able to bring it back down with diet. Cholesterol is produced in our livers and with the same hereditary factors that have given me great skin and stable weight the negative has been my predisposition to elevated cholesterol. I dislike labels and do not push others to follow my style of eating. The sugar worries me for it's effects on teeth, possibly skin, energy levels and once we reach our 50s diabetes type 2. I also see so many women in my age group who never bothered with sunscreen who began developing skin cancers as young as their 40s. I eat for my health and quality of life. My work since my children are grown with their own families does not allow for much free time. I am a mal- practice attorney and also deal with insurance fraud and really adore my work. Your recipes are quick to put together and I have a 4 day weekend and today will be my shopping day. What are your thoughts on Stevia in powder form? Much Love and thank you for all of the time and pride you put in your channel. Perhaps a restaurant is in your future :))

I followed a recipe on Google for vegan cheese and it tasted like spicy peanut butter. I think potato flour is the main stuff that gives that cheese taste, I powdered unsalted plain chips instead of nuts and made it very close to cheese but it didn't go hard like the recipe said, I used 1 teaspoon of Agar Agar powder but should of used a tablespoon. Will try your recipe next.

I am so glad there are so many videos about how to make vegan cheese. Everyone should be aware that many commercial vegan cheeses include the ingredient palm oil. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous but they do. Please educate yourself about palm oil and how distractive growing it is to the environment and to the animals that live in the forest that are cut down in order to produce this oil. If you are a vegan for ethical reasons and you care about animals, you will make sure to avoid home oil whenever possible.
