Sabina, Thank you for watching ❤️ The cyanide in cassava gets destroyed with heat. So there will be no cyanide in this recipe since we are cooking the cassava.

My mother's side of the family are from a village in Haiti that eats fufu we now know it's fufu but they call it Tom Tomwhich is traditionally made with breadfruit pounded in like a mortar and pestle type of device and served with okra soup that contain dried fish or dried shrimp. It's wonderful to see the origins of our culture

Yummy is it ok to add a little salt when making fufu .. cassava we call yucca and I love yucca and plantains. I love fufu aswell I have never made it but I’d like to try to make it but I think I’d like it with a little salt added to it .. would adding salt mess it up ?
