God bless you and thank you! This is a 1st actual bread bowl recipe that I found on KZbin, after I searched A LOT and even high name chefs, for a bread bowl recipe. I actually typed in "bread bowl recipe," hoping I would find a recipe for a bread bowl, your video is the first one, thank you, that I found that is an actual recipe, like the dough for the recipe! All the other videos just show how to put the bread in the oven or how to cut the pre made bread to make a bowl. I was disappointed and surprised that it cannot be figured out when I do a search for a bread bowl recipe, that I actually want a bread bowl recipe that includes a recipe on how to make the actual bread dough, since bread obviously comes from dough. I know it sounds ridiculous, but even as I'm writing this, I'm laughing because it's just.. wow, that it's so hard to find something like this in this day in age and I have to actually explain what it is that I'm looking for. I mean, how much more specific can one be, if they type in: "bread bowl recipe." I don't want recipes to put in the bread bowl, or how to make bread into a bowl, or how to cut/shape pre made bread, but I want to make my own bread bowl, and want a recipe for that. You succeeded. Thank you for being real and using common sense, sadly something lacking in this day and age. Keep your good common sense and transparency. Kudos to you. Peace, God bless you and God help the world! You even list out the ingredients and the amounts in the description, nice touch. This video is exactly what I was looking for. I'm subbing to you just because I found what I'm looking for in your video, precision, detail, concise, and accuracy. I like your video and now I'm interested in what else you got.

You could add to the crispness of your role by by brushing on melted butter in and around the hollower role and toasting in the oven for 10 to fifteen minutes, at about 180 degrees centigrade,its somewhat like french toast, and very crisp, you can even wipe it with raw garlic before you butter the role, experiment its fun.. regards mike..

Tried this today! I added a bit too much water so my dough was very sticky and not smooth. (it looked too dry so I added almost a cup more of water) So I added more flour after first rise 😅 Due to the stickiness, I couldn't shape them as round and high as I wanted. Lesson learnt!

Making this now...I didn't have bread flour, but I did have some spelt flour, flax seed meal and milled chia seeds. I know they're not going to look like the crispy, golden white bread bowls you made but I'm hoping they'll be just as big and maybe a little more "nutty" flavored to give the soup some more pizzazz. They're almost done proofing now, so I'll know in about half an hour!

I made these last week and they turned out pretty good but the flour portion you suggest seems like it is way too much and makes my dough brittle not smooth. I'm making them again now with less flour. Are you packing or keeping flour loose when measuring?
@TessaAriasTV8 жыл бұрын
Definitely not packing!! I never pack flour, I use the spoon and level method. But I actually prefer to weigh out my flour when making bread, it's so much more accurate and saves the frustration of something not turning out right. Salt does not kill yeast... salt reduces the hydration rate of the flour / water... to improve this recipe, add your yeast to some milk and let it sit about 10 mins, while thats going add your water and flour together and mix well, let sit 1 hour ( hydration achieved) then after an hour add your yeast mixture with salt I use like a finger method to poke holes in the dough then once you have a good hand mixing of the salt/yeast into the dough switch to the dough hook and mixer and well you will thank me after you see the differance in the tightness of the bowls as well as the overall flavor.
