Hi Ms. Chris i found your channel about 2 years ago. My mom use to make the best cornbread dressing and i still follow her recipe. This year i made one recupera change and all I can say is Ms. Chris you done changed my life. In your recipe you baked chicken thighs sesioned, them, covered with aluminum foil (no water added) i added chicken broth and 1 stick of butter and baked them in the oven on low heat until done. I poured all my chicken jueces and droppings in a sealed glass container and kept it in the fridge for 3 days. When i added all that chicken drippings to my cornbread and baked my dressing in the oven. I tasted a little and all i can say is HOT DAM!! This is the best dressing I have ever eaten. Ms. Chris i had planned to freeze half of for my Christmas dinner we unfinished it all. Breakfast and lunch we ate dressing. I will be making it again for Christmas 2021. You are the best. Nobody can touch you. your Banana pudding recipe has changed the game. You are so right using half and half gives the pudding a richer tate. I frost my banna pudding with homemade whipping cream. Thank you for taking the time to creaste such great recipe. I love your down home personality. Glen

But I've been the cook in the family because I watched my mom cook from afar off, standing i the hallway.🤣 Don't get me wrong, I DO know how to cook but a lot I was self taught or used recipes. LOL, thought I was the only one to use jiffy, I do 1/2 box and it does wake up the flavor. Funny thing is, if u don't tell anyone, they rave and ask ur secret and if u tell, their psyche takes over then they judge...I never tell and some cooks don't realize a little sugar wakes up the flavor of food as well as cheese does in some of my secret dishes... Thanks Chris

Hi Chris, I have to tell you that I took your advice and added all of my dressing seasoning to my cornbread prior to baking it. I used about a 1.5 Tablespoons of each of my seasonings. You were so right the cornbread came out awesome as did the dressing. I added just a dash more seasoning to the dressing and it was perfect. I also added one package of the Stove Top stuffing for turkey to my dressing and it made all the difference in the world. I added my boiled eggs as it has been a tradition in my family for as long as I remember. Sometimes you gotta stick with the way Momma did it.Tha nk you so much for making my 2021 dressing a success.

Thank you Ms Chris for this recipe. I made it tonight for my family and we enjoyed it. I usually go for a sweeter dressing so next time I may just use jiffy for my first cornbread too.

Did you find a recipe for a bit more sweeter dressing? Because I’m looking for the same 😂. I like mines savory but sweet as well like a nice balance.

Honey listen. I'm about to bake my chicken now. My grandmom was southern and your style of prep is exactly the same that they used to do. I can't wait top try this! You're the best and I appreciate you!!!!!!!!

I love to listen to the longer videos while I'm working in the kitchen. Right now I'm making a baby shower cake while listening to this one.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video. It was in my recommendations so I took it as a sign to make it this way. I also downloaded it to watch it later. Looks delicious! Edited to add: this was the most delicious and moist dressing I’ve had. Will be making it like this for now on. Thank you again! 😋

🦃 Although we cook dressing a little differently , the MAIN thing I look at is her cookware and bowls that she used!! They are ON POINT just like my mom's and I'm the exact same way!!!! 🦃 Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 🦃

When I saw that you were in Virginia I got so happy. Thank you for your great recipes. It’s just me and my husband up here by ourselves and your recipes make me feel like I’m home. I wish I could be with my family for the holidays but with your recipes you will have me and my husbands hearts warm and tummy’s full this thanksgiving.

I just found your channel a few days ago. Each of the videos I watched was so informative, and I have been cooking 60 plus years. Dressing is a family favorite and my recipe and procedure is very similar to yours except that I dice the chicken and add to the dressing. Have you tried that? I sometime make the dressing with seafood, shrimp, oysters and crab. Same process. I should add the seafood dressing is a special occasion dish. Your videos are A+ in my estimation. Keep on cooking and may you be abundantly blessed. From a deep south Louisiana fan!🍽

Chris, I've made dressing a million times and even though I always get compliments, I'm never 100% happy with it. Never in my life have I seen cornbread made like that and I think that's going to make all the difference. I've never added Lipton Onion Mix but I'm going to try it. Thank you so much. You honestly should have your own cooking show!

This is old school I’m so happy to see this! No cans of soups no red and yellow peppers. Thank you for preserving the right way to make dressing! This is how my mom taught me. Thank you again I will subscribe. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you Ms Chris, this video really helped me. I had never fixed dressing for my family bc of my fear nd laziness. I paid ppl to make my holiday meals. But wen I tell you I did it myself following you step by step I could have kissed your feet. I’m so grateful bc it was a hit. My husband always says my food is decent this dressing he said it was good and savory I knew it was a hit! Thank you and Bless you and your team!
