Hi Kim, just wanted to tell you I like other KZbinrs out there but out of anyone I totally adore you the most cause you are real, down to earth, seem so easy to get along with and always seem so happy even in a tough moment lol. I hope one day I can trot my Michigan butt down for one of your classes and just to meet you in person I think we'd have a blast 😉. Thanks for all your training on these videos you really are one awesome lady.

Hi You Busy Lady!! I had a laundry soap day yest! Made 100% coconut bar, whew its a hard bar!! Grated it in my new-to-me food processor ($10!! and it tore it up), made pwd and liq laun soap to test in my front loader. I've been using fels naptha in my liq laun soap so this is a first using coconut bar. Love the texture of the pwd soap & so anxious to try it but I did all of my laundry yest while making soap. :/ Dangit. Hope all is well. Big hug to you!!

Something I don't understand.. If your using the processor for mixing \grinding your soaps that is used on dishes, clothes etc then why do you need to have a dedicated processor for that? It seems to me that the soap would only clean it more and shouldn't be a problem with using for using to process food too as long as its cleaned thoroughly!
@EssentialSoap4 жыл бұрын
we have found that those little bits of soap and borax are very difficult and sometimes hide so skillfully that we find that the food items that we use in that mixer later taste soapy. But that's totally and completely up to you as to whether you would like to have a dedicated machine just for your laundry detergent. We find it more efficient.

I just tried to make the laundry detergent using home made coconut soap and the batter separated even after I stick blended it twice. Is there any way to stop the water settling to the bottom and the coconut cream (if you will) rises to the top? I used the cold process way by the way. My soap is liquid, not dry. Thanks

+BL Meyer Thank you for the reference. I have been using oxi clean product in my laundry for two years. I consider sodium percarbonate works wonder in the laundry. I haven't tried the pure form of sodium percarbonate. I will try to order some to replace oxi clean. How much will you suggest to use it in HE washer? 1 table spoon with hot water?
@blmeyer83629 жыл бұрын
1 tbsp. per load is good, but know once precarbonate is no good after being mixed with liquids after 20 minutes! so people who buy LIQUID laundry soap that says it has Oxy Clean in it are paying for NOTHING!

Fels is soap, not detergent. Something you should know. Soap and detergent are both surfactants. Soap is not a detergent. Chemically different. Functionally similar. All detergents are synthetic. Mixing bar soap and water softeners does not create a detergent. The term detergent is widely misused. Perhaps you also use it incorrectly because so many others do.

PS per carbonate (Oxy Clean) is an alternative form of hydrogen peroxide (which causes BUBBLES in water) and BUBBLES help brake up dirty particles in your clothes and yes it is safe for baby clothes.
@blmeyer83629 жыл бұрын
sodium percarbonate releases hydrogen peroxide and soda ash. As we know, hydrogen peroxide breaks down into oxygen and water. As you may expect, then, sodium percarbonate breaks down into oxygen, water, and soda ash.

BL Meyer Bubbles do nothing. If bubbles mattered washing machines would have air pumps. Hydrogen peroxide is a strong oxidizer which is used as a bleach. Percarbonate is not an alternative form of hydrogen peroxide. It contains hydrogen peroxide, and releases it in water.
