I rarely write comments-- but this was soo good! It even tastes better than actual Nutella. I didn't have any coconut sugar (because it's super expensive here) and I am fine with refined sugar so I added 1/8 cups of regular powdered sugar and 1/8 cups of brown sugar. I didn't use honey because the last time I did, it seized up and it was horrible. Really. Thank you for sharing this recipe! (You can achieve the silky texture of actual Nutella if you run the food processor for a little bit longer but it turns out too liquidy. That's the only con! Other than that, I suggest everyone giving this a try :) )

Not a shocker. Real Nutella is made from crap, like palm oil, preservatives and barely any hazelnuts.
@sitdown39834 жыл бұрын
breakfast boi: today white sugar is gmo and made from gmo beets (cheaper than cane sugar), not from cane sugar. Brown sugar is white sugar with some of the molasses put back in. Today, at least in the USA, it needs to say cane sugar or non-gmo for it to be even the white sugar we used to know. But do you realize, when you say you are fine with white sugar, that white sugar is totally devoid of any nutrients and that it takes nutrients *out of* our bodies because of what the body must go through to pass it through our system? Thus all the diabetics it has created in the world - a sad and ever more terrible as it progresses conditions, strictly caused through eating white sugar - or maybe through being a terrible alcoholic for years upon years. Non- GMO white sugar has some uses, as in preserving or pickling, processes in which its chemistry changes to something beneficial to the body.

you can add in a teaspoon of sunflower (or soy) lethicin or any vegan emulsifier to thicken up the nutella. I tried it with that ingredient and the texture was amazing!

Hi Dani, Just made your “Nutella” recipe. It’s delicious! I’ve tried so many other recipes and they all disappointed. Your directions are perfect and I followed them exactly. I even got great results making powdered coconut sugar. I did use a little walnut oil because I couldn’t find hazelnut- it’s very nice. Thanks so much!

Can this be made with liquid stevia? I just made this today. It's "the bomb" and I can't wait to put it in a smoothie! I had to sub coconut oil for the hazelnut as I couldn't find it on grocery shelves. It turned out very rich so a little goes a long way. I put a teaspoon on some vanilla bean ice cream and it paired well. It didn't freeze over like the Magic Shell but it tasted great!

I made this recipe for the first time today. It was easy and simple except for the removal of the skins that was a workout and so time consuming I think next time I make it I'll do the roasting & remove the skin the days before. It was a hit my family all loved it so I will be making it again and again. I felt good knowing they were eating a healthy nutella :) Thank you for this recipe. I'm happy I found your channel. @r.h.93766 жыл бұрын
Just blend 1 can of chickpeas, one garlic clove, some salt, a tablespoon or two(depending on how you like it) of Tahini, a tablespoon of lemon juice, some cumin, and some olive oil. That’s all! Pretty easy. The Tahini makes it thicker while the olive oil makes it lighter and more liquidy in consistency so add these two according to your preference

I have been making clean Nutella for a few years. I use organic maple syrup to sweeten it - I see no need to add extra oil, I add a little filtered water if it’s too thick. Great variation, though.
@spaceshipper2for716 жыл бұрын
Hi Martinitime! Using maple syrup as a sweetener for my home-made Nutella is exactly what I plan to do, but can you tell me at which step do you add the maple syrup? Right at the start, poured on the whole hazelnuts, before activating the blades of the food processor? Or right after the hazelnuts have turned into butter? Also, do you use a food processor or a blender for that? Thanks!

In the u.s. hazelnuts were always known as filberts and much more inexpensive. I grew up eating Filbert's and they were very difficult to get out of the shell. You can make this recipe with any sort of nut that you like. Oh yes you can buy coconut sugar granulated at the store! I have purchased it at the store and at Amazon online. I have a 5 lb bag of it in my kitchen right now. Coconut sugar is also diabetic safe as it does not cause sugar spikes. Everybody's blood sugar Rises after eating something that does not mean that it is spiking. Coconut sugar dark maple syrup and brown rice syrup all rise on a curve as a piece of fruit would. I made this with peanuts as I have a glut of peanuts in the house right now and it tastes delicious! It is apple season in Maine right now so I am using fresh picked apples with this recipe. I also use it in my baked oatmeal. I took my assistant's children Apple picking so I have 40 lb of fresh picked apples here. It is also delicious on Dave's Killer Bread toasted. :-)

Hi Dani - I made this recipe a second time (first time was perfect) in a larger quantity, but it got a bit thick/dry so I added a more coconut oil - unfortunately I think I overdid the oil and my end result is clumpy and oily tasting instead of the usual hazelnut/chocolate deliciousness. Do you think I can still salvage it somehow (I made and refrigerated the end product yesterday)?

I tried a recipe for healthy Nutella the other day and it ended horribly. I think it called for an obscene amount of hazelnut to chocolate ratio. I can’t wait to try yours out soon!
