Julianne- your hair is gorgeous! Curious to know- how do you care for your hair naturally? I have super hard well water, and am having a super hard time finding a natural way to keep my super long hair silky, and not dull/greasy. Any tips? I'd love to see a hair routine/product.demo!

Hi, I really like your work. Can you give me the ingredients for the skin tightening and lightening cream, along with the quantities? I want to be your student. Thank you.

I bet this smells wonderful. 🥰 Your music and your voice made for such an enjoyable video. I hope it is ok to share a things in the spirit of kindness and helping each other? Because this product doesn't contain water or an emulsifier, it is actually a balm, not a lotion. Also, if you weigh the tallow and olive oil right into the container used for melting, that will save a dish and be more accurate in measurements than using a measuring cup. Finally, try pouring it while still heated and liquid into the bowl that will be used to whip it, and put that bowl into the fridge. That is much easier than scraping the solidified mix out of the smaller container. Hopefully these tips are helpful to you, and thank you again for your lovely content. Keep up the great work!

Why not add lanolin to melted oils for equal distribution? I melt the tallow prior to measuring in order for more accurate measuring.

Citrus oils are photosensitizing, so you wouldn't want to use them if you are going outside.

Any craft store that carries soap making supplies is likely have a similar kettle. Amazon also carries them, which is where I bought mine 😊

How do you store it? On the counter? In the fridge? Will it melt in a warm house? Can I use jojoba oil instead of olive oil? Sorry, I'm full of questions. I have home rendered tallow in my freezer that I've been wanting to turn into lotion and this looks so creamy and amazing!
@Julianne_McElroy6 ай бұрын
I just store it on the counter in the bathroom in an airtight jar. If the temp gets above 75ish degrees it will melt. I've never used jojoba oil, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't in this recipe. Blessings!

I find if I leave my tallow lotion out it can develop a gamey smell
@MNMMOMMA226 күн бұрын
I keep mine in the refrigerator, just so it'll last longer. I don't want the full amount to go rancid and end up being wasted. I learned the hard way 🤦♀️ For daily use, I transfer a very small amount to a jar, just to leave on the bathroom counter. It can always be refilled when needed 😊
@mauisuzi19 күн бұрын
I use jojoba oil as I don't like olive oil on my skin. It will go rancid too. I a,so add lanolin as my skin loves it. I even added some left cocoa butter. I keep mine in front of wood stove in winter to keep soft. The lotion definitely responds to house temp. I got my liquid oil to tallow ratio off and mine is too hard, but it still is wonderful. I could remelt it and add oil and whip again, but I'm too lazy. Tallow is very shelf stable, so it's the liquid oil you add that can cause the lotion to go rancid. My skin loves it. It's thick and doesn't absorb quickly, so I slather myself after an early evening shower and give it time to absorb before going to bed. I do not use essential oils. I love fragrance but I use the lotion a lot in winter and essential oils are not meant for that frequency of use. I used my immersion blender as I don't have a stand mixer.

How do you clean a tallow smell?
@fitnesssoup755324 күн бұрын
Be sure that the essential oil(s) that you select are safe to apply to your skin and won't irritate your skin and eyes. There are a few to avoid.

Are the Lavender and frankenscence best for skin or is that just a scent preference?
@Julianne_McElroy6 ай бұрын
Both lavender and frankincense essential oils are amazing for your skin health, and they are my preferred sense as well. You could either substitute or omit the oils if you desire. Just make sure to read up on any essential oil you want to put on your skin. Some essential oils are wonderful and others aren't the best on your skin. Blessings!

Since it all starts out as a liquidn why not dump it all in together? Then refrigerate to solidify. I want to make some but don't want the mess I'd end up making. Also, where do you source your lanolin from?

Q Why not use certified therapeutic grade EOs for those added benefits? I'm confused
@MNMMOMMA226 күн бұрын
She used essential oils, not fragrance oils. They may not be "certified therapeutic grade", but they're still steam distilled essential oils.
