Nice teaching, but if we want to sell in both paperback and hardcover then how to make the cover and how to download i mean in digital use or cmyk

If you use 8.5 x 11 with bleed, i guess you need 8.625" x 11.25" (as the kdp website told me)

I also uploaded on kdp , but there was a issue , they sent a notice on email and said increase "0.125 in "on your book cover , that's the problem

Hey Sean I’ve got a question. I published a book in the U.S. with a publisher and sold 3,000 copies, earning 10%. Then I worked with GloboScript, who translated and marketed it in French for $990. By publishing on Amazon, I made 60% per sale and sold 3,630 copies in France, earning 6x more. Now I’m wondering-should I do the same for Spanish and German with GloboScript, or sell the rights to a local publisher like my U.S. publisher suggests? They say the quality’s better, but isn’t earning 6x more worth it?

Sir why , i uploaded my book on amazon (in bleed ) but the problem is , they sent me a notice on gmail and said that you have to add extra 0.125 (3.2mm) along the top, bottom, sides on your cover file ? its issue , how can measure cover file perfectly (with bleed ) ⁉️

I made 2 handwriting books including tracing. And it didn’t perform. I hired out a children’s illustrator and paid quite a bit of money. Ran fb ads and it still did not perform. On top of all that, I’m a specialist of handwriting for kids. So I have expertise in it. I’m surprised it did not perform.

@@susie9889 not sure what happened as I don’t know your book, but based on how there are plenty of other books on the topic selling well the issue seems to be on your side rather than the niche unfortunately

⁠@@SeanDollwet, yes, there are quite bit of handwriting books. I also thought it would sell well. And I actually had a person who has had success with kdp help me validate the idea of creating a handwriting book. So, with all that combined, I thought it would do good. But not the case.

@@susie9889 definitely understand the frustration. Happened to me a few times. Keep publishing, sometimes the opposite happens too. A book you didn’t think much of can start selling well

Did you do anything else besides KDP? I am publishing a book soon and I already have an order for 25 copies for a classroom. I have been reaching out to schools and daycare centers. I am not leaving it just to KDP ads to get it sold. I
