I am very proud to be Macedonian. I find that we aren’t widely represented in many places so that’s why I took on this endeavour. I am very pleased that you enjoy my cooking. Merry Christmas and happy new year ❤️🎄

Sophia Draganich Cluck Thank you so much for your Revani recipe. Your recipe looks so delicious. My dearest Macedonian mother whom I miss very much taught me her recipe for Revani but she used cream of wheat instead of pastry flour and she cut the cake before she poured the syrup over the cake. My mom did not add walnut topping but my aunt did. Both my mom’s and aunt’s Revani was delicious. When I was working, I made Revani and brought it to work when my office had lunches several times. You seem like a very sweet loving baba like my mother was and your grandchildren are so lucky to have you as a baba. Thank you so much for your you tube and especially speaking Macedonian during part of your show.

Your ceksa is beautiful Baba! It looks exactly like what my Baba used to make and I could almost taste it from here. I love your cooking and speaking the language and love your channel. My Baba used to serve this, also cut in triangles and placed the pieces in decorative muffin papers for Name Days so gosti. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year. Za Mnogu Godini!

On my Baba's farm I made this cake as a five yr old using all her eggs from the chicken coop, THEN I added sand thinking I added semolina. I was only little, copying my mum. BUT my baba saw me waste the eggs and chased me around the farm to catch and punish me for wasting dozen eggs. It waS awful, I've never forgotten it. I was just making revani!

Hello Rikki, So you have a long history with this cake! I hope you have made it without sand in the recent years. If you make it, let me know how it goes! Love, Baba 💕

Thank you for your question about the syrup. It has 6 cups of water and 2.5 cups of sugar. You boil it for about 15 to 20 minutes on low. Then you pour it right in the cake while it’s warm. Syrup should be boiled
