How to Make: Macedonian Zelnik | Tikva Zelnik | Pumkin Pastry | Pumpkin Zelnik |Зелник со Тиква

Hello everyone,
On our final of these two videos we've filmed for you all during the 2021 Christmas season, I've decided to make my favourite Zelnik, Zelnik so Tikva! This is a favourite of mine from when my mom would make it for me and my brother, and we would all enjoy it. The pumpkin zelnik is more of an appetizer then a full meal as its already naturally sweet, its great to serve before a meal or alone as a snack. And you can't forget the belo sirenje! I've preserved this old recipe from my village and am happy to share it all with you here, I hope you all get to try it one day. Hello Chris, Thank you so much for your informative comment on my video. I would like to let you know that yes, I am from a village in Lerin region called Nevolany (now called Skopia). I have been in Canada since 1952 and have 3 sons here in Canada and my grandchildren are now making the traditional recipes. I made this and made some mistakes but my dad still loved it!! This is his favourite zelnik and has been asking me to make it. Thanks for the video Baba! I would have never tried making zelnik if it wasn't for your channel, as my baba passed away when I was a little girl.
