@lydiaoby27353 жыл бұрын
The pepper is kind of the main taste so you'll need it
@joyfulcook3 жыл бұрын
Pepper is optional o. I mentioned it in the video as well that when cooking for a party, ( remember you don’t know their spice tolerance. ) it is better to play safe with the pepper but if you’re making it for personal consumption, of course use as much as you like.

Quick question plsssss.....why do you use tomato paste and tomato sauce?
@bernadettehof58784 жыл бұрын
Quick answer, why not 😆
@joyfulcook4 жыл бұрын
It’s mainly for a richer stew base and then the color as well.
@NazorEzeh4 жыл бұрын
@@joyfulcook Ok...I'm asking because I only use the tomato paste and I thought that was enough for the richness and color.
@joyfulcook4 жыл бұрын
Ok. but I always add the sauce to balance everything. Just like when we make stew now. I can use only bell peppers as well, but because it’s pricy, when cooking in large quantity I just use a stew base. I hope I’ve made sense 😀♥️

@kindlyk28653 жыл бұрын
This is a cultural thing abeg 🙄, this woman cleaned that fish thoroughly with salt, that’s to clean enough... do you know what the salt is doing when she uses it that way? she even used it multiple times. I didn’t know that people wash their meet with lemon until I married a Haitian man. An average African will not use lime and salt and this is not a sign of uncleanliness. Depending on where you are from people do things differently so do as you please but let’s demean other people’s ways just because it’s not the same as our way. This is disgusting? Naaah y’all are reaching ✋
