Omurice (Japanese Rice Omelette) オムライス is a staple in Japanese cuisine found in home and diners all over Japan. The dish is an example of Yōshoku, a Western influenced style of Japanese cuisine. Children are particulary fond of Omurice but it is enjoyed by all. In this video we teach you how to make Omurice at home with this simple Cooking Japanese recipe.
Omurice consists of an omelette made with fried rice, thin scrambled eggs, and garnished with ketchup. The rice is generally pan fried with chicken and peas and seasoned with a touch of ketchup. The soft egg rice omelette and sweet ketchup flavor goes so well together and creates a sweet and savory flavor the everyone will enjoy.

You can forgo the horizontal cuts on the onion ... it doesn't serve any purpose, if the onion is cut length wise from the root to stalk end. Everyone thinks that makes a finer cut but if you examine the structure of the onion it becomes obvious that you can eliminate that step. Old habits die hard.

That’s a good description of making Omurice. Everything is easy until you put it on the plate. It may take a couple of tries to get it right. But even the mistakes taste delicious😋Thanks for watching🙏🏼
