It's so pretty I'm gonna cry. I'm here because of that random guy on KZbin shorts claimimg authentic Japanese food is very bland, especially this dish. I searched up osechi because of him. I also realized that if you can get a bunch of people to search the same thing on KZbin, it creates this network of people. If you're a KZbin content creator, you should think about how getting watchers to use the search bar, puts you in communities with people of the same interests. I know someone else who watched the same video as i just did, will show up here for the same reason. I've seen this before. I then notice that I see content creator crossovers. Put two and two together how they found each other. You realize. Media pushes you and others towards similar "communities" . These communities consist of people who watch the same videos but most importantly search up specific words. This is how someone like me can run into a bunch of people, that may be viral. When trends set off, they start in these videos. People start talking in the comments. Just some food for thought 😂

I know exactly which guy you are talking about, he is super animated and wears a long rope also I think "tasteless/bland" as derogatory description always comes from people who need everything fried and in thick sauces.. anyone who can eat bread with cheese and cucumber and enjoy it will enjoy this food, too its not tasteless, its just not super salty or fatty or anything

what's ponzu?;
@CookingJapanese
@CookingJapanese 5 ай бұрын
Think of ponzu as a citrus based soy sauce. Not at all as salty as soy sauce though. It has a light sweet taste that is a staple of Japanese cuisine.

Nice, thank you! Do you eat this with the shell or without, only the beans? Love
@CookingJapanese
@CookingJapanese 5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! You eat only the beans (not the shell). You squeeze the beans out with the shell in your mouth so you get all of the flavor. Hope you enjoy!

Hi there. Whats mirin?
@CookingJapanese
@CookingJapanese Жыл бұрын
Hello, mirin is a type of rice wine. It is similar to sake but has less alcohol and more sugar. It is a staple of Japanese cooking.

I tried this and made two batches the first came out really good but the second I guess i had the heat to high and/or not enough water because they burnt, had to throw away the second batch. :( It's harder to cook than it looks.
