How to make one right and make one left (M1R + M1L)

Hi Claudia, No, by twisting the stitch when you work or pick up the yarn, it does not leave a hole in the fabric. However, you are free to increase any way you like it. I use the lifted increase a lot because it is subtle, even when the pattern asks for another kind of increase. Your choice. Andrea

A pattern I want to use has M1, M1R and M1L. I'm confused with what to do for the M1. I can only see information for right and left. Could you help?

Hi Shelley, M1 means increase one stitch. I increase by the way I show you in the video, just by looping the yarn around my finger and putting in on the RNH. If you stop and look how the legs cross on the loop you just made, you can define if you made a loop as M1R or M1L. It does not matter much as long as you increased one stitch. What matters the most is that you make it consistently, specially if you have to repeat many times on the same pattern. Does that help?
