Idea: Buy the Magnettic Sheets, that has peel-off sticky on the back and stick under the tiles, then you can place them on a Large metal dry Erase board or sheet of metal even (may want to tape edges). which would be easy to store as well since can just pick Board and Tiles stuck to it and stick it in in crack or hung on a wall. and for those who dotn use clear bases, could put magnets under the minis as well. Like this idea more and more now HAHA

This look like great fun! for anyone still using the og board a good way to play is line of sight for the hero's, so only doors/rooms they can see at the time are placed on the board and taken off when they can't (similar idea),, makes it great as you can get lost trying to escape and forget your way home using sir ragnar as a human shield 😁🛡️,, great vids as always!

When playing with the original Heroquest, I’ve only ever placed doors and furniture one room at a time. Modular tile sets are always good though.

This is great! I've been 3D printing or DIY making all sorts of tiles and such but had not really used my Laser yet for this kind of thing. I'll definitely be adding this to my list of options and will start right away on the wooden floors that I've been hand cutting in the past! lol

Just had a thought; if you want the tile to be more durable use it as a master and make silicone moulds from it for resin casting. My concern is mdf/wood can warp if not properly treated over time.

OH and now you need to Laser engrave a Large Outside tile or 2 and a Areana Tile for Ogre Horde. Ever post pictures or video of your home brew game ?

Looking brilliant as always, great idea 😊. If i may though .. i noticed there is a slight warp to tour tiles. I don t think youve painted both sides? Paint the back as well and it will remove some of the bow 😊

LOVE it, Basically same as I was thinking, Like Advanced HQ use tiles so they could not predict where to go ... I do something this with Owlbear Rodeo for my DND games, I have the Full map then I fog of war it and remove fog as they move into view of it. ... this would be pretty easy to set up and then just put the minis righton top the screen and have lap top to side with map so can reveal as needed ... and easy to add Fog back as well. (wish someone would send me a laser engraver haha), surprised you didn't paint the Floor tiles Like Rooms in HQ.

Firstly; your paint jobs look excellent. I'm not sure if I am misinterpreting things here but are you laying out everything for your HeroQuest games normally? In HeroQuest it's all by line of sight in the regular rules, room and corridor at a time. The Heroes don't know the path. Playing it in the modular setup is fine though, your basically turning it into Advanced HeroQuest which has many more rules attached to it. Removing the revealed rooms and corridors is an interesting idea. I have a whole bunch of House Rules for HeroQuest that don't change it too much (on paper it looks like alot, ~6 pages) and doesn't slow the game much either and all you need extra is a polyhedral set of dice and to make a deck of cards for an optional rule. I can post the house rules here if you would like to know them, just let me know.

Oh, I thought it was some type of vinyl flooring/wall paper with faux pattern of travertine mosaic tiles cut to size. Laser engraving seems a simpler and faster solution than 3D printing the tiles 👍.

You aren't meant to put all the doors and furniture onto the board. They only see doors when they come into line of sight. They only see where corridors end again when they are in corridor and see its blocked. Same with furniture. Don't see it til they are looking inside an open door.
