Love this recipe!! I just added a little more water when making the dough, used a kitchen dough hook and an extra tablespoon of brown sugar, I like mine a little sweeter since I typically eat it with saltfish. 🇻🇮

Thanks for this! Followed your directions to the letter. I didn't want to deep fry them as I feel that's too much oil. What I did was tip the frying pan a bit and spooned the oil over the top of the bake so it could rise properly.

hi hello love this, I've tried it with fresh baking powder (idk how to say it in eng) and just to make sure, the baking powder you are using it's not the same as baking soda? (Bicarbonate) thank you so much.

Hello you used the correct ingredient - baking powder. Baking soda is something different.

Is 1/4 water enough? I tried this and ended wasting ingredients because it was soo dense and when I tried adding more water it just didn't work

That works for me. Add the water gradually. Add more is necessary. Don't give up keep on trying

I used baking powder. You can use any oil you have on hand

Hi. Great video. Can you use self rising flour instead of regular flour? Will it still come out like yours?

Thanks for asking this. So how I suspected this question would be coming up soon. I need used self rising flour but I'm sure the result will be the same. Just eliminate the baking powder that is in my recipe. I will do a recipe with the self rising flour soon.
