Mr. Hinkle. I bought my CNC 8 months ago and keep coming back to your videos. Keep up the great tutorials, you make it simple and I keep wanting to experiment more and more after I watch what your pushing out. Its sure a learning curve, but watching your videos (pausing in many cases as I design) really helps me. Thanks again!!

Vernon, I mentioned before about your approach to sharing CNC info, I gave it a try and all went well until I changed the bit. It was my first time doing this and I ended up boring right through the bottom of the bowl. Because of bit length differences I had to reset zero and obviously that was my downfall, could you maybe do another vid not using pwn bit setter(I don’t have one) to explain the bit change and what needs to be done. Thx again for great videos
@Hinkleshop2 жыл бұрын
Ken If you don’t have a bit setter or PWN CNC collars you need to separate the v bit and end mill files cut the end mill file first Then re-zero for your v bit z off of the top of the stock on the edge where you have original stock height hope this helps Thanks for watching
@HortonRay Жыл бұрын
I was wondering where you found those files for both dog faces to carve? We have a small pouch that looks exactly like the small one, kind of scary she looks so much like it. The larger one looks like my daughters, cane-corso, also referred to a small pony, :). I looked around and could not find either one. Thank you in advance, you do beautiful wood work. I watched you lazer the bear on the cherry yesterday,,, hoping you got it centered, and you did great!

So I finally deceided to try this on my Longmill. Just curios, since I don't have a PWN collar as yet, do you start this job in the center, and if yes, how do you set up your initial placement of the xyz on your cnc? Thanks!
@Hinkleshop Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Set your point of origin in the center Use a piece of paper to set Z height Save the tool paths to separate files (That selection is on the bottom left of the save tool paths screen) Then complete each operation separately Re-zero your z height anywhere off of the stock that is the original thickness DON’T RE ZERO X OR Y Just the z Hope this helps
@Nissan300zxshowcar Жыл бұрын

@@Hinkleshop Thank you so much! So if I use a 1/2" wide vbit for the carve, would I just bring it up to the side of the workpiece, x and y sides, then divide 1/2" by 2 (1/4" and subtract that to the measurement to get the x and y zero, yes? Confused about changing the bit type for the carve and getting to x and y zero without a touchplate... sorry for the confusion but really trying to complete a valentines day heart tray!!
@Hinkleshop10 ай бұрын
@Nissan300zxshowcar you should not have to re zero your x or y anytime after you begin any carve or change tools Just the z zero needs to be reset
@Mr.GucciClass1A Жыл бұрын

when i ad the 1 inch boarder is black how do i get it to white or just make my dog smaller in the square?
@Hinkleshop2 жыл бұрын
First of all thanks for watching! The first time that happened to me it’s stumped me for a little bit as well However it is a simple fix undo your border basically remove it and we will make it again after we make the fix look in the bottom left corner of the screen you’ll find a black and white square approximately 1/4“ x 1/4 inch I would venture a guess that the black color is on the top. You will have to invert those two colors there is an arrow underneath those two boxes click the arrow to invert the colors so the white is on top and the black is on the bottom then remake your border hope this helps!

All you have to do is un-group the vectors, hold shift and click the outside vector to de-select it and then re-group.
@D-GatDesignsLLC2 жыл бұрын
Nice video but you over complicated the part where you moved the outer boarder in order to regroup the inner vector. All you really needed to do is select the entire image, then hold selecte click the outer boarder to unselect it but leaves the other vector selected so you can regroup them. I only bring that up because the F9 function doesn't always work on my PC
