wow outstanding I LOVE Pho Soup I was just doing my best as a white American guy with no real recipe. I talk to the women at the Asian Farmers Markets to get my tips & have a Vietnamese girl I'm friends with on Facebook.She has been a huge help telling me what are the better ingredients, to bad she lives in Windsor Canada. Thank You again Helen! I made Pho Ga recently using this recipe. As Dennis B noted below, it made the house smell wonderful! Trying an idea I had, rather than simmering the chicken on the stove, I cooked it in the stock in an electric slow-cooker on High for three hours. The result was great!

I found Pho (Ga) just over 4 years ago and it is by far my favorite meal of all time!! I add shredded carrots, cabbage, bean sprouts and of course Hoisin!! It's so pho-king good!!

Helen I just want to say 1 thing THIS IS THE BEST PHO I'VE EVER HAD my family loved it , it's so simple yet it's packed with flavour . First I wasn't sure if I'll like it or not because the spices were really less and I thought it will be taste less but I am so happy that I still followed this recipe and I was really amazed by the results . Been a lover of Vietnamese food for a long time. Have used Pho, fish sauce, basil and lemon. Just the soup was plain chicken and vegies soup. This soup is fantastic, brings back memories of having Pho in Melbourne in the 80s
