All natural fruit vinegar from fruit scraps
Don't throw your pineapple peels, cores and eyes away. Transform them into fruit vinegar.
Vinegar is a fermented condiment through the action of desirable and friendly microorganisms like yeast and bacteria.
Recipe:
Peels of 1 medium sized pineapple, chopped
3 cups lukewarm water (to help dissolve the sugar)
6 tablespoons white or brown sugar

Yes, in the Philippines we consume them fully Ripe but depends on the varieties as well. I'll use the vinegar in salad dressings , dipping sauce etc.

Hi again! I forgot to ask this question but, is it required to mix the fermented vinegar every other day or everyday? Thank you so much

Yes , during the first 2 weeks, because it needs to be submerged in the liquid. If you don't stir it, the topmost will be dry, and usually it will grow molds, once mold grows, it will be unsafe for consumption. When you proceed to aging,that's the time it's undisturbed.

Every other day is fine, because sometimes I will forget stirring it. But if possible ,do it everyday,it also helps incorporate air so it will hasten fermentation.

Is this kind of vinegar is ready to use after 2 weeks or needs to wait for 1 to 2 months?

Thanks for watching. After 2 weeks, it must be aged for at least 1 month, to develop more flavor and acidity. But if you taste it After 2 weeks and the taste is okay for you, you can use it.

Thank you for sharing is that ok if i didnt cut the pineapple peel. I put all the peel in 80liters plastic drum cause i make it for volume.. i peel 24 pcs.pineapple for vinegar and the flesh is for pineapple jam...

I think it's okay for big batches, it will be laborious and time consuming if you cut it manually. I cut it in pieces just to fit the glass jar, also i can extract all the flavors if i cut it in small pieces. Are u selling them?

Yes i am selling it and this is my first time to made it volume we sell pineapple and the left is going to be over ripe is the one i made pineapple jam and vinegar no waste of this fruits.thanks i found your videos.

Is it obligated to mix everyday? How can the mother form herself while we mix it simultaneously? Thank for the answer 🙏 Is the mother floating or Sink?

Yes, it is required to mix everyday while it is still fermenting. Because the top will dry up, and it will lead to mold. We don't want mold to happen. After fermentation (no more bubbling), discard the peels, then transfer to a new jar, that's the time you won't disturb it, that's when mother vinegar forms. Hope it helps. It floats usually.

Hi I'm not so sure but it is naturally fermented hence there are beneficial microorganisms present. The benefit you might get will be the nutritional properties of pineapple. My purpose of vinegar making is to reduce reliance on synthetic vinegars, zero waste journey and to have flavored vinegar options.

If done properly, it will last long but shelflife is much lesser than the white distilled vinegar kc it has pineapple in it. It's advisable to use white distilled vinegar if you plan on preserving foods for safety purposes. Pineapple vinegar is more on gourmet uses.

If bubbles are still actively forming , it means it is still fermenting. You can wait a few days before draining it.

@Adapa Pravallika I haven't tried, but honey has some antimicrobial properties though it might affect microorganisms during fermentation and they are more expensive than sugar.

Yet also do you have within you creatorship, so that you are never in a position of having failed for longer than it takes for you to turn again to the light and start afresh. There are various techniques for falling in love with yourself. If you are present with yourself and become aware of the wide range of emotions that you feel, that may be the most direct way to become kindly affectioned towards yourself, to like yourself, and ultimately, gloriously, genuinely, truly, fall in love with yourself. Just as you are, you are perfect!

@@essie-whatfarm as long as it's not fuzzy . I hope it's not molds. Sometimes there are white thing on top ( that look like molds) which are bubbles that dried up. So it's important to stir it regularly to prevent dried top. Molds will form on dried top.
