Pipedrive is my main 'source of truth'. Meaning it's where I keep all my contacts; not just clients but everyone in my network. When using Pipedrive this way, it's important to use labels, custom fields and notes correctly to make your contacts easy to filter and search for later.
In this video, I show you a few of the ways you can better organise your contacts so that they're easier to find later.

How do I archive a contact? Also, what is the difference with the "note" in detail and "notes" to the right?

You can't archive a contact, you can delete it though. I have a notes custom field which is where I can add a summary of the contact and key information. But you can also add the yellow notes to the contact for keeping notes of meetings etc.

Hi Paul, interesting but not quite what my brain wants. I need to come up with EITHER a couple of fields or forms that might list a number of things... like the type of business they are in (with a variety of key, searchable options), the kind of special services they provide (with a variety of key, searchable options) and probably the kind of products and services they are looking for (with a variety of key, searchable options). I was thinking a sheeet with a checkboxes or something that would show the many options yet allow the ability to add. Further, was thinking of trying to indicate the MacKay 66. My business is mostly driven by longer term relationships and not just online responders - actually we have very very few of these. Have you a video like this? IS this even doable?

You could either create a series of multi-option dropdown fields so you can select multiple options to add to the contact. Or the 'autofill' field type is also quite useful as you can type anything you like and it'll suggest previously used options.

Good Video! Thank you for that. Question: When I try to update the Tags (multi-option-fiel) in Pipedrive via Zapier (Action Update Person), all old tags/options get overwritten. So they are gone. Example: Existing Tags: T1,T2,T3 New Tag thorugh Zapier: T4 Tag Field: T4 How would you solve that? Kind of ridicoulus Pipedrive still hasn‘t a real tag system

What you should do in your Zap is in the field where you update the tags, specify the current tags first (do this by using a Find step to retrieve the info of the person you're updating). That way you can keep the existing tags while adding the new one. By creating a multi-option field you can create your own tagging system.
