Same! I noticed earlier today that it's not Cento or any Italian company of San Marzano grown tomatoes in a tin can.... I think it is Pastene, which seems to both import Italian and grown tomatoes in CA. www.pastene.com/san_marzano.html

Salt is a strange ingredient. Too much and it tastes "salty". The right amount and it brings out the flavor of whatever you're cooking. Not enough and the meal is oddly bland.
@WujuStyler7 жыл бұрын
Yeah. To master salt is to master cooking entirely. Do I put it in before adding the pasta to the boiling water? Do I boil water with salt already in it? Do I add the salt after the pasta i done? This is just 1 example
@AperturePowered7 жыл бұрын
the pasta-salt conundrum is one I've yet to master. Add in the water and it doesn't come out with enough, add after and it seems to be too much.

This guy was a great guest. People only see chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Bobby Flay, etc and think that only snobby people know food. But if you watch Munchies or Mind of a Chef and see this outlook on food, it's really refreshing. I've worked in restaurants for over a decade and love seeing stuff like this. It's good for the hospitality industry to see that chefs are just cool down to earth people.

Cheap pita bread pizza: pierce pita breads with a fork and lightly toast them in a 400° F preheating oven (you can brush a little olive oil on them if you want), when the pita begin to get a little brown and toasted, remove from oven, spread favorite spaghetti sauce and add oregano (the main difference between pizza and spaghetti sauce), add shredded cheese (mozzarella is good) and any toppings you like (hard salami is a favorite), and bake on a cookie sheet for for 5-7 minutes at 400° F, or until cheese is melted, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, slice & serve. Adding hot sauce, like green jalapeño sauce or spicy chili flakes is recommended.
