So, I’ve got to let you know that my seven-year-old son and I love to make your videos the last thing we watch before bed. I feel confident that you will be fun, creative, and still kinda chill. I love the pot and saucer one-piece planter from a convenience of movement perspective, but I’m in love with the deep swirl groove saucer with slanted bulge pot two-piece planter. Peace and happy winter!

I also love the one piece planters. Potted plants come in standard size pots, which are even numbers, so making them slightly larger than the size you want, and deep enough to conceal the container, is helpful if you don't want to plant the plant directly in the planter. Hope this helps. Thanks for sharing all these techniques, you are inspiring!

I love the one piece ones. Be sure to leave enough space that you can get your fingers in between the tray & the pot when it needs cleaning! You could make wider, shallower ones for cactus groups. Here’s a challenge: ovals! 😉

Wow Jon, both planters are really cool!! Love the one piece, clever design! But the two piece offers more options for colour combinations. For me it depends on the type of plant wich planter I would go for. They each have an own attitude about them so the planter must be a right fit, or at least that's how I'm feeling 🙃 Looking forward to your next video's!

yea plant pots! All in one pieces are especially great for hanging plants Indoors. and two piece pots are also great so that the plate can be removed from plants that are outside so the water doesn’t pool when it rains

As a very plant person, I loved them all.. I just finished watering 21 of my 61 plants today. I really like both of them but I think the one with the plate under the pot would be better. If there is too much water it would be easier to sit it in the sink and pour out extra than turn the pot on it's side. I tend to do that and end up with dirt in the sink.. Lol I just like everything you make. We actually had a little snow here in Chattanooga last night. You and your Family have a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The great thing about planters and other more decorative pieces, is yiu can really experiment with glazes. It doesn't matter if they craze, or leach. The single piece planters are nice, because they save you time. Anything a production potter can do, to save time, is a win. At first, I thought you were going to combine/ join the plate and vase portion, of those you threw separately. When it comes to your trimming, have you thought about getting a Giffin Grip? Some claim they are "Cheating", but they are a time saver, and can be used for more than just trimming.

I had an idea if you want a more start-to-finish feel: you could give each pot an ID number of some kind, and then tag each pot ID in the description of the videos in which they are featured. Also, when someone buys a piece, they could go back and see which videos it was in because the ID number would be on the pot. It might be a bit more work, but just a thought.

I prefer planters that have a separate tray for drainage because what I found on the internet is that the ones with attached saucers can still have a tendency to hold too much water and cause root rot. Or something like that. I don't remember entirely lol. But attached ones would be good for hanging pots probably.
