great video even if the steps were like for a child, but some people need that kind of learning and there is nothing wrong with it. i actually enjoyed the detailed steps and everything said in this video, it was fantastic except what kind of rice do i need? i know you said white, but i know there is many out there

Hi Greg, Thanks for the comment! Any typical asian white rices can be cooked in this way: jasmine, calrose, etc. Indian rices such as Basmati should be cooked with slightly less water (1.75:1 ratio), but the process should be the same.

SO.... Rinse rice. (1.5 Cups water to 1 Cup rice.) Bring rice to rolling boil. Leave to simmer for 15 mins. Turn off heat for 5 minutes. Eat.
