I had never heard of laksa before but now I’m dying to try it. Thank you for making vegan content! Brinda’s personality is so welcoming. She makes it feel like we could be cooking together

Thank you so much! My favorite restaurant in Santa Fe closed and my favorite dish was a vegetarian Laksa. Thank you for demystifying Laksa. Recipes often seem a bit overwhelming when you are unfamiliar with the style of cuisine. 💖 🍜

Surprisingly simple recipe (I'm glad it doesn't rely on a homemade veggie stock). I can't wait to make this for my vegan friends after COVID is over.

laksa is so delicious, never thought to put rutabaga in it but looking forward to trying it, also picked up the cookbook so thanks for that

Ideally, add the same amount of GALANGAL as ginger. It's a cousin but the taste really makes a difference.

What makes it laksa vs red curry soup. A lot of people in Bay Area say they make laksa but I find it similar to a curry Thai version. It’s not the same though

We don't really have rutabaga available where I'm from. Can we substitute something similarly starchy? Maybe taro?

I don’t know where you are, but rutabagas are also called Swedes in some places! Also they are a lot like turnips, you can maybe sweeten the soup a little more to get that balance?

It is a shrimp paste. Usually have tho get it at an Asian market or online. Just fyi don't smell it, it's overpowering but the taste is great.

I think prepping the rutabaga could be a bit easier if you cut up first. Never a graceful process.
