Great tutorial. Was planning on working on some shields, which I could apply this tutorial to make! Thanks a ton!

@@CraftLogicfigured it out... PS: if your open to other videos, things like what you mentioned would be great, plus helmet? Sword, just basic items which can be added to models!

That's a great idea! I've already been considering making some pieces for a conversion I want to do and they could make for some very helpful videos! Not always easy to find the right bits for conversions.

Really nice! I wanted to get into modeling for a while now (especially for doors and windows for my crafts), but the learning curve always seemed so steep. You made it look actually doable, thanks for that! Btw would you mind uploading the piece you did in the video? Would be great for the Lionshield Coster in Lost Mines of Phandalin and also for reference :)

Thanks! I’ve been working with Blender consistently for a few months now and am far from an expert but I am pretty happy with my progress! My advice is to just start! Unfortunately, I somehow didn’t save the file so I’ll have to remodel it before I can upload it. The Lionshield Coster is exactly the inspiration for this video!

Really great video! How did you go about learning Blender? I've tried in the past and got...distracted.

Thanks! I have learned it by just getting in there and trying stuff. I have ideas of something I want to model and I give it a go. When I get stuck, I head over to Google/KZbin and search for help. There are a ton of helpful KZbin videos! The basic controls and functions I learned by watching videos and then I just go mess around with it. Still learn new stuff everyday! To be honest, most of the things I model only need a handful of Blender's functions.

Thanks! I’m still quite new to digital modeling but it really isn’t too bad once you play around with it a bit.
