How to make Sorrel Drink.

This Sorrel Drink is laden with spices, it’s absolutely refreshing and delicious, with that gingery tang. It’s a Caribbean festive drink, but is enjoy throughout the year.

2 1bs of Sorrel or 2 packs of dried sorrel
1/4 cup of grated or pounded ginger
3 cinnamon sticks
1 tbsp cloves
3 bay leaves
10-12 cups of water
Sugar to sweeten
A bit of white rum ( optional)
A bit of Red Label wine ( optional)
To a large pot of boiling water, add all the spices, allow to boil for 5 minutes to release the flavors
Now add sorrel, bring to a boil, then turn stove off.
Allow to sit and cool (normally overnight )
Strained and sweeten
Put to chill or serve over ice
Absolutely delicious!!
