I used 2lbs of sorrel after it was cleaned. Maybe my scale is wack. But it was definitely more than what you used in your video. Nevertheless, I made it and this morning it tastes really bitter and it's blood red...not like in your video. I used the black sorrel so I'm not sure if that made a difference. So I'm diluting it and adding a lot more sugar. Now I have to share out lol. I'm considering boiling it back with more ginger and cinnamon since the flavour would have died down.

You can use less if its dehydrated 2 cups should be fine.

When did ginger and orange peel goes into the sorrel cinnamon sticks bay leaves and cloves please I think the ginger and the peel takes over the true taste off the sorrel drink

I just cut it out with a knife. all you need are the petals, it doesn't have to look pretty.

ahhh the Christmas feeling has begun. Have you ever seen sancoche with Mariel Brown, I believe is her name in one of her episodes she did garlic pork in the brine and sealed in the bottle. Now Natasha, please forgive me if you did this recipe already. By the way I'm making homemade wine this week. 😀

its funny, i remember nobody at least in my neighborhood plus some never used to put ginger in sorrel, until the early 80's, now most people putting ginger in sorrel and still calling it sorrel when it's really a fusion (ginger sorrel
