Please note, if you taste your sorrel mixture and it doesn’t taste like something you would drink then it simple means you won’t eat it, so please adjust your sorrel drink taste before making your cake

How did you get it to be so red? As soon as I add the fruits the color changes from red to dark brown. Frustrated☹

@@daigeb make sure you brew your sorrel with just a little water, just let it boil for 2-5 minutes and turn off and cover to brew for a couple hours, if you don’t get your desired color add one drop of food coloring to make it brighter. Thanks for watching

I did not know there was such a thing as a sorrel cake! I’m so glad I found your channel. I live in northwest Florida and I grew sorrel for the first time last year and I dehydrated 50 gallons of blossoms.! I make a lot of tea I give a lot away and I have made sauce and jams and I tried a pie that turned out well but I am definitely going to make this. Thank you.

Yes sis I see your cake came out perfect I do use the entire sorrel in mine pulp and all and it turns out well and I actually do the same steps you did without seeing your recipe lol but as you said if you know how to bake Christmas cake you can make the sorrel cake again well done sis I love it
