This is a spicy sambal dish, great with steamed rice. Do adjust the spiciness accordingly. Thanks.
Ingredients
2 (454 grams each) Blocks of Firm Tofu, drained, big cubed
500 grams Prawns, peeled
1 Large Red Onion, halved & sliced
15 to 20 grams Tamarind Paste
1 Cup of Water
1 tsp Belacan
Gula Jawa, to taste
Cane Sugar, to taste
Sea Salt, to taste
Chicken Powder (Optional), to taste
1 Small Lime, to taste
Sambal Paste (To Grind)
80 to 100 grams Dried Chilies, seeded & boiled for 5 minutes, drain well
200 grams Shallots, peeled & slice
6 Candlenuts
4 Cloves Garlic, peeled
