My favorite burger! Never thought of using meatloaf (your recipe) and cresting from scratch is a pain. Sautéing onions. Grilling meat. Done right leaves kitchen in a mess. I do though use rye bread. I think it gives that special flavor. Thank you again for a winner. ❤️

Thanks for the idea!! Having meatloaf sandwiches tonight with a little hot chow chow instead of slawsa, cheddar, and cooking on the George Foreman. Also having old fashioned potato cakes with left over mashed potatoes! All the ingredients are yummy so I know it will be a hit!

That looked scrumptious. I have never understood why the butter/mayonaise is put on the outside and not the inside. First time I saw that I thought I had read it wrongly. Then again I normaslly toast bread under a grill, that would be a Broiler.
